h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

got a job today - he's going to try it out for 2 months to see how it works out. Evenings only - so it will be 6 days a week.
Let's see...

I went to the gym after work, not really in the mood and expecting to have to slog through my 5kms... but it went so well I did 7, and only stopped because I wanted to come home and read to the Gruesomes. Harry Potter 5 - it's taking ages.

When i walked in said "oh this bloke just called and he's going to call tomorrow around 10am - he wants to invite you for an interview"



it's very close to where I work now, so hopefully I can do it at lunchtime. Since I often lunch alone, it won't be too obvious (not that I particularly care...)

wish us both luck, please.

gah, it's over 7 years since I've interviewed for a job.

Don't know if you've got time to buy & read it, but a book called "Great Answers To Tough Interview Questions" is what you need!

Well, Sho, I'm feeling for you and . It's nearly 20 years since I went for a job interview and since then I've either worked for myself or sat on my skinny arse from the proceeds of doing so. I don't think I could *ever* contemplate sitting a job interview now, or even take a job that was less than generous or perfect - I'd be too happy to tell them where to shove it!

I know you don't have that choice, and I know that I *really* am not helping your possible nerves and butterflies.

But I am thinking of you - best of luck, Sho - knock 'em dead!

basically I neither want nor don't want this actual job. It's pretty much what I do now (which I don't particularly dislike) but it's a change of scenery. which means that I'm actually quite relaxed about the interview.

That's a bit weird, isn't it?
