Man oh man.
anyway I'm too to post now. Suffice to say that now I *FINALLY* get to pick... everything I wanted to pick has either gone or isn't ready.
And don't mention the Post-it Note thing or I'll get very
*grumbles away*

oh! turning to booze? Mind if I join you
My wrist is killing me, I think it's going to be one of those things that when I'm 70-odd I'll stammer -
"Jimmy my ol' son, we're in for a ripper of a thunderstorm tonight, my wrist is telling me so, and don't you forget it none. Now go on with you and fetch the cows in, and let your mother know she needs to stop steaming the artichokes or we'll have a thunderous time in the bedroom tonight too"

PR and entries, az.
Btw Sho, what is it with your current tagline ? Expressing how I sometimes feel, aren't you ?

Ah okay, thanks for the explanation, B'Elana. Makes my resolve to *never write anything for the guide ever* even stronger. Because there is no-way-no-day I'd ever put myself through that whole PR crap. Not worth it.

That's what i thought not so very long ago, but if you look at many PRs, you'll have to rectify your opinion, really. I've had two entries in PR now, both times the feedback was very positive, the suggestions for changes/additions brilliant and in all a fantastic experience.
Sho isn't complaing about a negative PR here, but she had to find out that PR was the wrong forum and that her entry has to go to the update forum after all. And that she can't pick the entries she would have liked to pick -after having waited for weeks and weeks, that's a real toughie

Nah, I have checked out PR from time to time as a er. Not for me. It's like there are a core of people there who do all the judging and whatever - so it isn't really a Peer Review, it's a review by a *very select few* who think they know best.
I would never write anything and put it up for these people to judge as 'good enough' for the Guide. Which is really too bad because I think I can actually write quite well about certain things and might have something to add. But I refuse to go through THAT PROCESS.

I know what you mean az, that was exactly the impression I had at first. Only to find completely different people reviewing my entry - Matt was the very first to give me feedback - I really can only wish every newbie to be that lucky

me to az,but having joined in I realise that not that many people comment in PR - mostly scouts because that's what we're there for - so it can look a bit incestuous.
I'm just grumpy about a few things - and feeling invisible. Hence the tagline.
You'd think I'd be a more famous hootooer now I've been here nearly 6 years

Hmm, don't you think that many people know who you are ? I mean, even I know who you are, so you must be famous certainly ?

Sho - employed again! Posted May 20, 2006
ah, I don't need to be famous
I just need something else to be grumpy about!

Yeah, after almost six years you should get some sort of medal!
As for famous, I dunno. I reckon I've become pseudo-quasi-semi-sorta-kinda famous because of the photo gallery (and perhaps because of some of my big-mouthed diatribes here and there ).
But I can understand it IRKING not to get recognition you felt you deserved. And that's really the sort of thing I want to steer clear of as I have enough trouble getting recognition in RL, ya know? Don't need any help in the ol' insecurity department from people I've never even met.
Anyhow, big for you and FLICK them!
