I went to Dublin and watched Hobbit 1 at a friend's house, then went with her and her dad to watch Hobbit 2 at the cinema. I'm not sure what I thought of the film. I think the whole "Kili's sick" thing was put in just to give the camera an excuse to linger over his face, which in filmmaking terms is ridiculous, but in terms of the drool thread I'm not complaining.

found a tiny art-house cinema in Düsseldorf showing Only Lovers Left Alive (because now I'm a Tom Hiddleston fangurl I must see all his films).
And also because I adore Tilda Swinton and Vampires.
It was beautiful. Wildly bonkers with absolutely nothing happening at all, but very very beautiful to look at.

I am so out of the catchment area, I didn't even know Idris Elba was a heartthrob. (Does one still say that?). The only film I've seen him in was the first Thor film, where he had those weird blue lenses in. He looks like a really nice guy. All I know about his acting abilities is that he's very good at accents. I would certainly feel safe if he was with me!
