Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004

as for the cock up on the husband front - now there's a Freudian slip if ever I made one!!

Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Feb 22, 2004
Oh, thanks for that link to the summary and for the brief bios.
I'm a German living in Germany, actually I'm a 'Berliner' living in Berlin.
I'm still at uiversity, though I hope to get out of there by the end of this year.
As you all have probably noticed by now my major subject right now is Orlando Bloom. Although having read the summry - how could I forget Hugh Jackman. He's so gorgeous!
Is there anybody else here who felt that there was a lot more chemistry between Logan and Scott than between either of them and Jean in the X-Men movies?

Coniraya Posted Feb 22, 2004
Nope, Caerwynn isn't my real name. I thought I had made it up, in the days when I played Diablo online at battlenet. Then I stuck it in to google and discovered I wasn't as clever as I thought! I have an old hootoo user space, but managed to forget my password so set up my current one.
I'm a bit shy of revealing too much of my RL persona, but I do have two sons, 23 and 20, although both are close to their next birthdays. No2 son no longer lives at home, he is living with his girlie. No1 son is still at home and still trying to decide what to do with his life two years after leaving Uni, currently he is temping. I am married to H, we have both been married before but this time round we are both really happy together even if it did take us 9 years to actually get married!

Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Feb 22, 2004
Well, it is a beautiful name, no matter what.
And nearly everyone on h2g2 seems to have an old personal space he or she forgot the password for. Maybe it's some sort of initiation rite?

Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
I haven't forgotten my password - my user space is my same ol' one.
I love the name Caerwynn too - so much so I have written her into one of my silly stories. Which should be finished soon.
Methos: ah, you are a Berliner?
I'm trying to persuade the gruesomes that we should be watching -boy but they want to watch something with a Clownfish! curses, foiled again!

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Feb 22, 2004
I remembered mine too - still on my old 5-figured user page!
was rugby again today, nice welshmen, nice welshmen.... shame about the scoreline
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
oh 5 figures? wow, you're an oldie!! I only got here sometime in 2000 (is there some way of telling when I first signed up for hootoo madness?)
Some very nice Welsh rugby lads. mmmmmmmm although for some inexplicable reason (read: hubs) my Welshboys kept morphing into Liverpool-kissball-players.
Oh well, I've promised myself LOTR tonight, and I will have it by hook or by crook.

Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Feb 22, 2004
Well, I forgot my password, created a new space and then remembered the password to the old one.
I first came here around the beginning of May in 2000, it seems. I simply looked when I received the obligatory welcoming from an ACE.
Have fun watching LotR tonight, Sho - or are you stuck with watching "Finding Nemo"?

Gwennie Posted Feb 22, 2004
Me: middle-aged, married, mad, mother of two teenage mutant sulk-a-lots, currently residing in the North East of England.
My number is 55612 and I signed up to h2g2 back in July 1999 after hearing DNA mention his site during an interview on BBC Radio 4.
I was too upset at the poor performance of Wales to during the rugby this afternoon
and I can't believe that it was the same team that beat Scotland last weekend.
Oh well! At least there was some eye candy down t'gym this morning to brighten my day!
John is in bed with another dratted migraine, Mair is visiting a friend and has left instructions that she doesn't require feeding,
so I only have Chris and myself to cater for.
Hopefully I will be able to stay awake to watch Battlestar Galactica is on Sky Movies 2 at 8.00 tonight.

Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Feb 22, 2004
"sulk-a-lots" - God, I love this expression. I have to remember it and if I ever have the chance to talk about teenagers in English, I'll use it.
How old is the side itself anyway?

Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
I think h2g2 was set up in early 1999, but it could have been sooner. I heard about it in mid 1999, but I was on maternity leave then with no money and a dial-up modem, so my internet activities were severely short. (ie, checking e-mail only)
So as soon as I could I signed up from work - when I finally found a job.
I can't find my original ACE welcome though.

Gwennie Posted Feb 22, 2004
I *think* DNA instigated h2g2 sometime in 1999 but please don't take my word on it, as I'm useless at remembering dates, numbers and names.
In fact, I have trouble remembering my own age and only a few weeks ago I signed a cheque using my maiden name, which I haven't used since 1979!
Methinks I need help...Preferably in the shape of Sean Bean!
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
Ah Gwennie, you're ready for a home!!
I often answer the phone in the office with the name of a company I worked for for only 2 years about 10 years ago. And at home I often do the same thing...
Conversely, I had to complete a passport application for the Gruesomes the other day and forgot my maiden name, had to look up my parents in my address book!
Sean Bean? Here, I won't be needing him for a while....

For Methos benefit:
I'm Annie - 48 - mother of 4 & grannie of one.
You'll find a link to a pic of my grandsonon my PS.
He made me a Valentine's card & my daughter posted it to me.
Current marital status, unknown, but that's a long story.
You'd have to lurk my journal for the gory details.
Sorry I don't mention Orlando Bloom when I'm ing Sho, but he does nothing for me.
TC, you do a great job with that drooler's page!
I haven't seen The Jackal with Bruce Willis in*makes note to add to list of movies to see*
Hello Gwennie! and Caerwynn, I also thought your name was yours
No-one has ever thought I was called Galaxy
The only problem with reading the backlog first is you think of things to post then type a great deal then there's this nagging little voice telling you you've forgotten something
Ah!
Sho!!! Don't diss your writing. You are a brilliant writer.
Should you write a I would be queueing for a personalized copy.
Could you write one with slash....
I am thinking of writing one about my experiences with men.
I also still have my original sign-up user number.
Sho, you joined just after I did, and I joined on May 19th, 2000.
There's a way of finding out the date you joined, and I know just the man to ask.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Feb 22, 2004
He's not online, so I did a little search myself and came up with:
From h2g2: A343892 At Home With Sho (May 29, 2000)
So, exactly ten days younger than myself, Sho!

Coniraya Posted Feb 22, 2004
Oh yes, I forgot to say that I am alarmingly close to the other five letter birthday beginning with F, but at least it isn't this year
I'm flattered my 'name' is liked, it means Castle White if translated literally, from the Welsh.
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
cool for finding my date, GB, thanks!
And one less person over Bloom is just fine by me!!! All the more for the rest of us.
BTW: have you all noticed how lovely and muscly Daniel Jackson is this year?
Oh yeah, forgot to mention: Sho is actually what some people call me in RL, it's short for my full name.
and thanks for the compliments about my writing some of the stuff I actually like myself, especially the
-Lurve-One. The one using Caerwynn (I'm going to take the translation too, if you don't mind?) is supposed to be humorous, but it's not really working. Pah!
Next month I start the serious edits of my NaNoWriMo novel, and I may include a partner for the gay pilot. Just so I can have a nice m/m kiss and thus exclude myself from trying to sell it to Mills&Boon.
Pretentious, moi?
~drool~
Methos (one half of the HHH Management) Posted Feb 22, 2004
I always forget how old I am. If asked, I have to really think about it. And once I have it, it's my birthday again and the game begins again.
Isn't it better if we don't all about the same guy? So we won't get in each other's way.
And yes Sho, write a slash novel. I'm all for it. You know, Daniel/ Jack from Stargate was the first pairing I read slash-wise. By now I guess, I read something in most fandoms.
Methos
P.S.: How can you find out the exact date you joined h2g2?
~drool~
Sho - employed again! Posted Feb 22, 2004
I love J/D slash... although I'm semi retired from fic, I have a few plot bunnies nibbling my toes so I'll probably write again.
Right now I'm busy slashing up LOTR. For no other reason than... nekkid elves!!
~drool~
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Feb 22, 2004
I can never remember when I first joined, but it was within the first 2-3 weeks I think. My U-No. is 34159, so I'm older than Gwennie
pre-Moxon, pre-ACEs et al!
yes Wales and no really
worthy Irishmen. A couple with potential but daft hair.
Key: Complain about this post
