well I can tell you why...because it's the only place in Scotland that does the course I want to do!

I want to do Theatrical Costume Design

philospophy and theology (cant do straigt philosophy you see) which college?
I'm trying to draft my personal statement and cant think of many reasons to recommend myself...

Probably St. Hilda's, to up my chances - last time I did the high risk thing (long story), and so this time I'm going to try to be a Hildabeast.

I've got to redo my personal statement too... aargh... If you want any help, I can try and give you some advice. Not that it'd be of any sodding use, mind...

I've got a dilemma - I was thinking of applying for 5 English courses and 1 fine arts one. That's extremely inadvisable, because a) it looks like you're not committed and b) there's only so much room on the bloody UCAS form. The thing is, I went to the Ruskin School open day and loved it - it was the only art course I'd actually want to do. They seemed rather impressed with my portfolio too (but that's probably only because they're *very* into drawing). What am I going to do?

Well I'm guessing your still at highschool so I would suggest if that's the case going and talking to your guidance teacher before the summer If not Talk to your mum & dad or sister or brother...they usually tell you plainly what to do....for example

"Quit your whinning and decide or you'll not get into a uni cause you'll be to late!"

Or what happened to me when I said to my sis I was dropping higher biology....

"I think your insane...you should stick it for a bit longer...I passed it andn I was doing 5 Highers too you should be able to survive 4!"

Then I talked to mum & dad and they said:

"If your not comfortable with it drop it so you can pass the rest as well as possible"

Who did I listen to...I think you know

Emily I've always thought your art is great. At the end of the day though, it is up to you. Do what you will have fun doing. That's why I'm doing History.

I know that was aimed at the other Emily...but I was planning on putting some of my drawings and designs on my page...that was all before it moved though

What do you wnat to do when you leave school if you go for the art course?

I think if I can't be a coustume designer or one of the other options on my top 5 list on my page I'd like to either be an art teacher or open a record shop...ahh to dream

my friend wants to go to the ruskin. it looks rather good. and english is a bitch to get into.
