Thanks for the welcome back. It really does feel like a sort of family reunion, doesn't it?
Thanks

Your very welcome
It's funny coming back, I mean, I've been back about little over a year now, the switch over luring me back, and I've been being quite quiet, but yes, it feels like a reunion. I'm back in touch with old friends and reminded of others I miss and it's nice, it' a nice online world to exist in.
Have you found many old friends since you came back?
Thanks
John Luc Posted Dec 4, 2012
Not yet. I kept up with most everyone I met via email. Still, I imagine it'll be interesting if more old friends show up.
Ooh, I wonder if nighthoover will return!
Thanks

I did that too, but when we all went off to uni (the main wee group of people I talked too every day on here were all about the same age as me) we kind of lost touch. I keep in touch occassionally via Facebook but it's not the same as on here.
I've left messages on a lot of their pages to say if they ever come back that I'm back but we'll see
Nighthoover rings a bell...
Thanks

yes that indeed does ring a bell. I admit I considered asking for my page to be deleted when I left, but I'm glad I didn't.
I'm sure someone will start the campaign for nighthoovers return!
hope you have a good day and wherever you are, you're not enjoying the snow that falling at the moment over Scotland. I'm just hoping it doesn't get worst where I am
Thanks

I'm stuck in the southern part of the states for the moment. I should be home around Spring.
Stay warm and safe!
Thanks

On holiday or living? Is home the UK?
Staying warm, but have to go to work today so safe depends on whether the council's gritted or not.
You know, I used to love snow, but since I started driving I've grown to hate it!
Thanks

Living, sadly. I'll be home to England soon enough.
Surely the council are keeping the roads safe, right?
Thanks

Missing the cold and the wet?
The council did okay with the first bit of snow, but a bit more came down two nights ago and froze as soon as it hut the ground. By the time I was leaving for work they hadn't even gritted the roads round my street that lead to the school...sliding kiddies are funny but not safe. No one expects the side roads to be gritted but currently my street is an ice rink and the rest aren't that much better.
Fortunately it's meant to be a bit warmer this weekend, which will hopefully melt the snow and then when it gets colder next week it will keep the roads a bit safer. I hate driving on snow and ice, sets my teeth on edge.
Thanks

I miss everything about England. I think I'm going into Marvin mode.
Here's hoping it warms up enough to melt your ice. Be safe out there.
Thanks

I think you're allowed to go into Marvin mode when you're a long way from home.
It's warmed up a bit, our street is still an ice rink, but it's better than it was, which is good.
Just hope any more holds off until I can get my Christmas shopping etc sorted out, so far I have nothing ready!
