What came first -music or misery?

I really enjoyed reading your entry on Nick Hornby the other day.
High Fidelity is one of my favorite novels of later years.
I find the question from the qoute intresting; What came first, the music or the misery? What is your opinion. Myself, I am not so sure...
And Emily, bra size does not matter
What came first -music or misery?

High Fidelity is both my fave book and one of my fave films
"which came first the music or the misery?"
I don't know, without misery we wouldn't have a lot of the great music we do, but without the music would be have any way to express it?
and I know it doens't, I just wanted to know what everyone else thought

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
