For editing? Of course you will! It's taken me two years to get the guts to put anything into Peer Review and now not only do I have my first solo edited entry but I have at least three entries in Peer Review, have edited two entries which are pending and have another four entries waiting to be sent back to the Editors.
You've got a head start on me anyway because you're only thirteen and I wasn't even fifteen when I started on h2g2.
You'll get entries into the edited guide, have a little faith!

Well write entries about your favourite bands or things you know about, most of my entries are about art because that's what I'm good at, you'll find your niche and I'm willing to look over and help with coding whenever you need it

OKay hun, you're only thirteen, at thirteen I barely even knew how to work the internet let alone how to do coding or write a decent story.
I've never been good at English, art seemed to come naturally, but when I started on h2g2 I started entries on the meanings of peoples names, I wrote short stories and an entry on Shakespeare because it was all I could think of. Eventually I kind of abandoned my first entries and well this is what I've ended up with:
A335657 William Shakespeare - Playwright (May 21, 2000)
A338348 How To Become A Mosher! (Spoof!) (May 23, 2000)

Most of them are from this year because I'm in my final year of school, I know what I want to do when I leave and I like doing research so I've gone and done searches on h2g2 and checked what out of my ideas isn't there, half of them are still work in progress but they're ideas
And there's nothing wrong with doing creative pieces, they can't be edited but you can still do it, some researchers even make up adventure stories revolving around their fellow researchers, I have a link which I'll find for you later.
Science, that's such a huge topic you'll be able to find something to write about, if it comes to it do a Guide Entry on certain aspects you're learning about in class. I did Geography last year and I'm even considering writing an entry on Soil of all things!
Just have a wee brain storm and think about books, films, comedians, authors, bands, artists, scientists...anything, write them down and then have a bash, it doesn't matter if you don't finish them.
And there's always a friendly researcher willing to help out if you get stuck
And I know you're having problems with GuideML, it takes a bit of time to learn the basics but soon you'll be flying through the stuff

Sounds like a plan
(And I know a lot about most pasic PC programs such as Publisher and the like because I did two computing courses last year and use computers every day)
To create a guide entry go to the bottom of your user page and you'll see "Add Guide Entry" click on it and create your entry, also go have a look at what they're looking for for the edited guide, it'll give you writing tips and the like...you could also try putting your entry into writing workshop if you're wanting hepl on getting it up to Peer Review standards

no what I mean is you make up your fantasy story but you make some of the researchers you know as the characters
That way you could almost make it into a series of stories, you could build it up chapter by chapter with lots of plot twist and stuff, make it really interesting
Just a suggestion, this is your thing
