Hi my name is Dave or David, whichever you feel more comfortable with. I am an engineer by trade, but enjoy many other things besides.
I am 47 years old and up until recently enjoyed playing saxophone and clarinet as well as writing poetry. I now write more poetry than I used to since breathing difficulties mean I can't play either instrument any more, and so far I haven't taken up any other. I am also going to have a go at writing short stories, and who knows maybe graduate to longer ones if that works out OK.
From what I've seen so far I'm also going to get immense pleasure from reading the works of some very good writers before they make it into the best seller lists.
