I will avoid June as others are going to the French meet.

How's about July/August? If peeps can tell me the dates they *can't* make, I'll try for a weekend to accommodate all.

I know all the best places, <BB<, I'll introduce you to the meerkats in The Jungle and the black swan on the Boating Lake. And you can either go ride on a miniature steam train or run alongside it... or tackle the rowlocks while avoiding the ducks on the Boating Lake. I'll show you the Meridian Line and the Tide Clock and Cleethorpes Pier. And the yellow web-footed trail! Must order a sunny day.

I currently do not have a problem with any dates during July/August GB. I have also noticed that if you want a communal staying place, there is the Premier Inn going out towards the M180.

A sunny day would be wonderful; but takes second place to the company - we can always manage cagoules and wellies if needs be.

All the places you suggest sound great to me and will gladly fall in with whatever comes.smiley - hug

I'm more likely to be able to attend a Cleethorpes meet-up than the one in France, especially if it tied in with half term, when my wife would want to visit the inlaws in Leeds. Leeds to Cleethorpes and back in a day is quite doable.

I'm already booked on a family holiday, I'm afraid, and so can't do the weekend dates of 17th, 18th, 24th, 25th & 31st August or 1st September. I'm free all of July, though.

Noted. My son informs me that my presence is requested in Sheffield on Sunday 14th July, as my youngest grandson is being christened that day. I'd rather not dash off but can do so if 13/14 July is the only option.

Love you too, lil!smiley - flan

I'm happy to stay wherever GB. When I mentioned Premier near M180, I was referring to the one on Appian Way off Gilby Road; next to the Brewers Fayre. I didn't know there was one on M180. Anyway, wherever you suggest is fine by me.smiley - hug

You pick a date that suits you, GB.

Yes but I want you all there!

Scorp it's the same one. It's noisy as hell in that area, I wouldn't sleep there.

In that case, neither would I! I want to be with the rest of you; and agree with Gnomon - you pick when suits you and I will fall in with it.

I like these aims. I could sign up to most of them apart from getting a sat-nav, which I already have and I've never attended a school reunion in my life.

smiley - yikesjust read those again and #11) "Find a partner" certainly came true, that was the month I met Ian, we were both visiting our mothers in The Beacon and were friendly with each other and our families (his Mum Eileen was lovely, she lived to 99) before we became involved.

4) Attend a school reunionsmiley - birowe have grand reunions every 5 years - over 80 came to the last one - and I am always bumping into old schoolfriends around town. We have a mini-meet coming up next weeksmiley - ok
5) Attend an h2g2 meet-up smiley - biro done this year
10) Save up for a sat-nav so I can visit my best online friend - Ian bought me a sat-nav when his son-in-law gave me Ruby (my current car) although I still haven't visited any online friends but then I am still caring for my Mum
12) Check all my old entries for broken links - I do this regularly but not just my own entries
13) Do more random feel-good stuff like giving away coupons in the supermarket that I'm not going to use - yes I still do this and I've had it done to me as wellsmiley - magic

I've cut and pasted them into a word doc. I think I'll work on what I actually want and post it in my journal once I've refined it. I know that #1 will be top of my list together with getting much fitter.

I did see #11 and thought smiley - wow too. You're a powerful manifestor. smiley - magic

Good luck with all that. Losing weight for me is an epic fail due in part to no exercise and mostly comfort eating but I have a good excuse and at least I'm not gaining anysmiley - yikes

I think your #2 would help with that for me, although as I'm still recovering from the broken leg, I am going to the gym at the moment and doing yoga and pilates, which are helping me, although my balance is off kilter. I used to be keen on the multi-gym, but it's not so much fun doing it on my own. I'm also doing t'ai chi, which I used to do some years go.

Comfort eating. Yes, I can understand that. smiley - choc is good for the soul sometimes.
