Hi GB!
Congratulations on having this moving Entry A65192231 included in the Anthology.
Just wondering if you'd agree to my changing one word in this sentence:
Did she really record the events, or recall them?

Hi and thanks! It took a lot of writing as my parents were directly involved in the story (not the flood, the aftermath).
Regarding your query, when she wrote them down in her diary she was recording them (for posterity) wasn't she? But I get there is a double meaning there that might be misconstrued. At the beginning of the para I say:
<>
then continue later... <>
From my perspective it is correct to say recorded, as I can remember writing things down () but by all means change it to "She recalled" if you think that's preferable

Oops! You're quite right (in revealing my short attention span ). No need to change, although one can imply, by using 'recall', that the recollection was written....
