Guide ML is the trick...
Actually it's possible to see how the pages are made. Every guide entry, also a U-page has the A-number too. My U-page is U127053 but it's A-number is A446681
You can find the number at my home page, in the section of my guide entries. Well, and if you replace that A there with TEST it'll show you how the page is written. So my U-page looks like http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/TEST446681 when I edit or write it. Umm, or http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/TEST446681 or even http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/TEST446681
Does it make any sense to you? I mean I am not so good at explaining things actually. My English is a bit stiff.

Or simply http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/testuserpage127053...
(I know, I'm too lazy to figure out A-numbers )

Trying to get rid of what?
What do you mean by moving the article onto your journal?
Sorry, perhaps language problems here.

Hime again, what I was trying to do was move an article from a conversation onto my journal page
any way it went belly up, and I ended up with a line of icons down the left of my screen
but I just sorted it out

Its really as every time I log on I only go to two sites (out of the complete web?)This one and an Ex Service site, and I just flick between the two and that keeps me busy full time
Some day I will explore the rest! but since Ive got nothing to do all day, Ill leave till later

Yeah, sometimes I hardly get my w*rk done as h2g2 keeps me so busy.
Tell me something about yourself. Or am I too curious?

No not at all!
I could write it all down but if you click on to my page, I have put a lot of information in it. Including some articles that Ive written,
but you will have to scroll down past the journey to see them (in the black area) I would appreciate some ones opinion!

I was lurking around there already.
Lot of information, that's true. But then again - I am not good at finding out the important bits, that's why I usually just ask.
Black area? Do you use Brunel skin?

Smudger879n Posted Feb 26, 2003
Hi Hati, OK if you just scroll down the page, you will see a black area just above "Smudger R.N." let me know if you find it

You mean the place where your guide entries are listed?
I use Classic Goo skin myself, so there is no black are for me. Goo was the original skin for h2g2 and it really looks the best.

To tell you the truth Ive forgotton what skin I am in, but there is a gray area about an inch wide in the top left of home page. In that section there is a sign saying MY GUIDE ENTRIESI hope that helps you!?

Yeah, that's the place I meant.
As about skins - it can be seen in the http-address after /h2g2/ there is brunel or alabaster or classic. The other way is to press the button 'preferences', that's also the place where you can change the skin.
