Hi Titania,
I'm just feeling down. Things aren't so well here (in Israel) and some stuff in my personal life also.
There was a terrorist bombing 2 kilometers from my appartment, which killed 17 israeli kids and injured dosens.
I'm just feeling tired with it all. it's not a tierdness from the brain, it's just that every cell in my body is tired independantly.
Don't know how to handle it anymore. I feel like war is coming (And if it is, I'm in the first that will be drafted). I don't know what to think anymore, I'm just being irrational. It is even kinid of hard for me to concentrate on work, and Dance and writing you this.
Anyway, that's kind of it. And there's also personal stuff on top of it, but I'll get to that another time (If you want to hear).
Peace,
Dancer

No wonder you're feeling down, I've been avoiding reading the newspapers for almost a week now, because the news are so depressing - and you are right in the middle of some of the worst news, making it hard to avoid!
Anyway, I'm here, ready to listen, feel free to tell me anything you want to tell me - and if it'll make you feel more comfortable, you can always e-mail me at [email protected]
Here, have another ! And a

10x Titania.
I guess that posting or e-mailing my problems isn't going to help me too much, but thanks anyway.
I don't know a lot about feeling bad. I've had a pretty great life so far. And it is good now also (knock on wood). Just a depression I can't get over at the moment.
I guess I see marvin's point. And him, with this terrible pain in the diodes down his left side.
Peace,
Dancer

Well, I could say we all have our ups and downs, but that won't help...
Why not try my method? Both my parents are from Finland, and there it's quite OK to be gloomy every now and then (in fact, some say it's part of the Finnish mentality), and Finnish Tango texts are very good examples of gloominess.
So what I do when I feel really depressed is let myself drown in self-pity, gloominess, listening to Finnish Tangos, getting sentimental, getting drunk, sinking deeper and deeper - and by the time that my self preservation kicks in and starts yelling 'Enough! Enough! I can't stand any more of this!' I discover I managed to get it out of my system, simply by ALLOWING it to seep out, and not trying to appear as normal...
...of course me being single makes it easier... otherwise my partner would probably start yelling way before my self preservation...
Like chocolate? Here, have some......it'll make you feel a LITTLE bit better, because of all the don't-remember-the-name in it...

I have new, better and completely different stuff to feel gloomy about .
I'm though, thanks.
How are you feeling?
I saw in the poll you are pretty much down yourself, I hope it's just live usual troubeling sense of unhumor, and not anything really bad.

Oh, I'm feeling better now - it's just that Midsummer is a lousy time for being single - with people celebrating, and partying, and dancing, and staying awake all night (at least here in Sweden, because the summer solstice means it doesn't get completely dark at all during the night - the sunset is almost met by the sunrise)... and you go home to your quiet apartment, unable to find company even at h2g2 - well, during a couple of hours, at least...

Thanks for the , do you know why they come with in them? I didn't ask for didn't I?
Well, anyway, what's new with you, howre you feeling?
I am kind of lonely these days too. I broke up with my girlfriend over a month ago, and I don't have time for any social life, as I dance and work too much.

Dance and work too much!
Wow, that sound almost like the very busy and hell-like autumn I had last year...
...I dance Flamenco, and after the summer, our teacher told us 'oh, and by the way, I've booked us at the 'House of Dance' this autumn - and we all went - because that is rather like telling an amateur singer that 'btw we're performing in the Royal Opera House'...
...so I spent most of the autumn working overtime (having a more than 3 months long gap between managers) and attending a course for 3 workdays each month, which I had to catch up with...
...and dancing, and dancing, and dancing... first 3 days a week, then 5 days a week, and, close to the premiere, 7 days a week - or evenings, rather...
...I had barely enough time to sleep, and eat? Hey, I was lucky if I could grab a bite every now and then... rushing straight from work to dance practice to home, and crash into bed around 11 pm.
But I wouldn't have missed it for the world! And it was a success! And the Swedish TV even filmed us!
But afterwards, when it was all over, all my powers had been drained, making me feel that every new day was an obstacle... that ought to teach me not to take on too many things at the same time... but I'm sure I'll make the same mistake all over again, if the options are interesting enough...

Hmmm...impressive slideshow - I just wish some of the photos had a longer display - there were some I barely managed to get a glimpse of...
...and so many well-trained bodies...*sigh*
...I constantly keep telling myself I need more aerobics, and more strength in stomach and back to keep my posture...
...but at least, after 7 years of Flamenco dance training, I'm finally starting to learn how to express the feelings of the dance, the singing, the music...
...this spring, I was dancing with students who had practiced for 2 years, because the dance was a bit tricky, and they needed support - and after one of the lessons one of them said 'Wow! You looked really angry and determined at that particular point!' And I said 'Well, the music and the song express anger and bitterness at that point, so...' - but they had not yet danced long enough to understand, they were still busy concentrating on the technique...

Hey,
I am glad you liked the pics, and you can see them one by one, instead of as a slideshow, so you can delay as much as you want on each.
I am in all the pictures you saw, usually the guy in the center ot the only one really dancing (while otheres are imobile).
These are all video captures from Dances by Bat-Sheva Ensamble, a famous Israeli company (my company )
I guess the kind of technique I do is a bit different than yours, I do modern and classical ballet technique classes, and a lot of modern dance rehersals and performances(about 130 performances a year).
I have much more to write about dance and expression and all, but, I havn't the time and I really should do my picks for the guide (I'm a scout).
Peace,
Dancer
