h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Heya.

I've written a page for people, hopefully to help them with getting into the Edited Guide. I've been told by some people that it's too long and that new people to H2G2 won't read it.

Could you take a look and see what you think, seeing as you're relatively new yourself.

Well I think it's very good. I wonder describe it as too long - merely thorough. And part of being thorough is being long - the 'too' element is a matter of opinion and in my opinion, it's not.
My only points to add would be that I would stress very strongly that for PR the article must be 'strictly' factual - and stress that items which aren't get negative attention. You might want to mention the T-shirt moratorium in PR too - don't want any s for new souls.

I would also sugest you mention the underguide so as not to put off the like of me who know where wikipedia is and just came here for some fun
For what it's worth, I think this is really good and should be linked from all the newbie guides. It's very good work.
