I haven't got much to add, as Babel covered the most important aspects; the ACE's homepage, the newcomers page, and that you can (and should) browse freely and participate in discussions anywhere. But, as Babel said, it's usually the ACE's who meet and greet all the newcomers in here, so I thought I'd pop by to "make it official".
