Hi RB. Long time no chat. How are things? Busy just now?
As you can tell I haven't been around much recently. It's all I can do to keep up. RL is proving very tiresome at the moment, too much hasstle at work, what with being outsourced to IBM a couple of weeks ago. Just now, this has little impact, but over the next 12-18 months life here will get very very stressful and everything will be in turmoil, due to the proposed changes. I get less and less time on here each week. Thankfully it is quiet atm. Anyway, enough about my troubles. What's happening in your world? Are you back lecturing now? Or are you still working from home?
Hear from you soon. smiley - smiley

Good to hear from you B-17!

Unfortunately, the summer of working from home is over. Now I'm back to the full load of working in the Theatre Department at Illinois State University.

I'm teaching Theatre Management plus a course on beginning web design, plus running the theatre box office, marketing, doing the photography and web pages, etc. I'm also musical director for our first mainstage production of the year -- "The Grapes of Wrath" -- and playing washtub bass and musical saw onstage as part of the production, so I'm in rehearsals every evening.

This has kept me from being quite as active here as I was before -- so I'm mostly keeping up with the campaign activities, my Roving Reporter column in the Post, and a few other things. Once the show's over IRL and the election is over here, I hope to spend more time hanging out in the cafe, etc. smiley - smiley

Sorry to hear that your work situation is not improved. Good luck dealing with the stress.

Wow washtub bass and saw. How funky!
When is the show? and when does it end?
The web design course sounds interesting. How long does it run for. ie how long are you teaching it for? Would there be anything of interest for me that could be emailed over? I am still pounding away at my site, time permitting. This week is out as I am up to my ears , literally, in bits of PC, as i am trying to get 2 working machines together, one for my mother and another one for me, so that i can put LINUX on it, and start learning some unix too. All towards the greater good of me. Hopefully this will alow me to move another step closer to a new job.

As for Amos Featherly, this is my nickname within the Village de la Vavoom, that a few people have set up. I am a crotchety old handyman. Suits me, being crotchety, as it comes very easily to me. All a bit of a laugh really. smiley - smiley
