Hiya Taff,

Just noticed this post and didn't want to be rude and not reply! We've had friends visiting since last Sunday and so we've not been online much this week.

Since we moved to Cyprus 15 months ago - we live in Paralimni, just outside - on the Napa-Paralimni bypass - we've been doing up our ramshackle old Cypriot bungalow and DDD (or Hubbie, as I like to call him!) is living in his shed! He's very proud of it but it doesn't have internet access as yet so only pops in here occasionally!

I like to peruse H2G2 every couple of days so I mentioned this to him as he was re-organising his mitre saw for the 19th time and he said to say 'Hello'!

And now I've organised my shed, I'd like to officially say Hello!

Thanks for popping into my PS Taff - we'll hopefully see more of each other around the other active convo's! Apologies for taking so long to get back to you!

i was based in dekaliah 93-95 and used to enjoy motorcycling around the island, when it wasn't too hot

*The* best fish and chips outside of the UK are at the Sovereign Base Area there.

Fortunately, it's open to Joe Public (like me), so it's a real taste of 'home'. Fridays and Saturdays are packed (both with Cypriots and Brits) and there's also the view over the bay to appreciate while you scoff yourself stupid and down it with a couple of Keo's!

i always found carlsberg had a funny taste and keo gave bad hangovers

do you know if the globe english pub is still there in larnaca???

by the way why were you living in the shed???
