h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Today it became official. The project I've been planning for so many months without deciding what exactly it was going to be is going to be something, and it's going to be something wonderful and terrific. It's top secret, so I can't tell you what it is, but if anyone has any suggestions for it, they're welcomed with enthusiasm.

In the meantime, I've got a lot of thinking to do about the project I abandoned just a few weeks ago. Like, for example, where I left off, and what I was going to do next. I'm having a terrible time figuring it out. If it wasn't for that I'd have been working like mad on it for days and days now.

But I just don't know what to do with it. There's one thing I know needs fixing—the beeps are too loud over the computer's voice at the main panel—but that's just such a tedious job and frankly I don't want to do it. And the research interface needs all kinds of work, but the last time I tried, I got discouraged, and now I don't want to work on that anymore.

I suppose I shall just have to start wasting some time, because nobody here wants to talk to me right now obviously, and nobody anywhere else seems to be talking at all.

I have a suggestion for your project.

Write a piece on circular arguments. It might help you if you read mine first.

I'll write it just as soon as I've read yours.
