the page of a handsome kraut. a german male. this page is going to be edited many times, probably.
not much of a content yet. beeing here the first time, i still have to find out what it is all about. i´ve read about h2g2 and would like to make my contribution to this great idea.
ah, what i always wanted to ask.
why is it so freakin´hard for an educated german guy (like me), to move to the USA and work there?
been to this fantastic country many times yet, and i got a lot of very good friends there (connecticut).
each time, entering a taxi in N.Y., or buying a hot dog, i realize that the taxi driver, even the hot dog vendor, aren´t american, or even able to speak the language in a rudimentary way. quite interesting, ´cause they wouldn´t let me immigrate, even if i only wanted to work as a cab driver, though my english, as well as my driving skills, are better (my point of view, i have to admitt).
any explanation???
all the best for everybody
(to the N.Y. cab drivers: no offense, don´t take it personal)
