mcglk: A walking paradox. Well, perhaps not.
Some basic information:
- Normal location: Seattle, Washington, United States, North America, Earth, Sol System.
- Preferred abnormal locations: United Kingdom (the last few trips hanging out with the incredible kite-flying Binky and his long-suffering and wonderful wife Natalie); Scotland (mostly Glasgow); various locations in the United States and Canada. Ken has, to his regret, never been off the planet, but since Russians have the worst reputations as hoteliers, suspects that he won't go until someone else starts offering trips.
- Occupation: Running a game-company startup.
- Interests: Women.
- OTHER interests: In no particular order, games, computing, information theory, aerospace, physics, technology, science in general, skepticism, music composition, interpersonal relationships, graphic arts, writing, reading, humor, animals, filmmaking, ethics, the works of JRR Tolkien, website design, travel, cooking, and about a billion other things.
- Disinterests: Inconsiderate people, the determinedly stupid, country music, gangsta anything, eggplant, thoughtless evangelicals (on any topic, not just religion), bad drivers, spammers, and regrettably, the most recent US Presidential election.
- Housemates: Currently, three cats, all from a feral-cat rescue organization I do volunteer work for. Their names (unchanged from the ones the organization picked for them) are Digit, Pocket and Colette. Sprite, mentioned in a previous incarnation of this page, went missing on January 18, 2001, just before I moved into my new house. I miss her terribly.
- Ongoing projects: The game company, of course. Losing some weight (the price of years of sitting on my ass working on computers). Learning to fly. Cooking---currently, concentrating on Indian food. I'd like to learn to dance someday without looking like a complete dork. I can live with partial dork.
