I've only been doing it for three years and only heard about it through a friend.
Before that I worked in warehousing for years(it seemed like an eternity).
I had a very stressfull job which was making me ill and was at the breaking point when this job came up(I was at the point of telling my ex-boss to shuv it where the sun don't shine).
Now although I work long hours and there is some stress,it's nowhere near the amount I used to suffer and I get emmense satisfaction from this job(something I never did with the old one).
My turn to go on a bit

no really don't apologise - I can ramble for England and it's good to hear something more about you
You do seem to work long hours I have to say but to have a job you enjoy is a real bonus - no job is worth making yourself ill over imho ...
I like my job ... most of the time but then there are boring bits to every job I'm sure - anyway I'm only doing this until I find out what I Really want to do - I've been thinking about it now for about 20 years

Most people never find their perfect job
I'm lucky I suppose but I did have a long stretch of bad luck.
When I first got this job the honeymoon period just never seemed to end.
It lasted well over a year before I started to feel a little less elated by it.
Yes I do feel lucky now
My only trouble is that I'm going to have to learn not to do so much overtime and get a home life as well as a working one.

Sometimes I think it's easier to stay at work rather than come home to an empty house

You're right.
If I had more (someone that is)to come home to I would find it easier to say no to work.
I say this convo is a bit heavy aint it
Right onto a lighter subject.
You mentioned(or was it me)Eighties music so tell me do you have a favourite type of music or is it just anything you like the sound of.

Researcher 1214535 Posted May 1, 2005
ooh es, for me? thanx
didn't meant to get heavy
Don't know who mentioned the 80s - I mentioned oldies but not exclusively 80's stuff .... I like all kinds of things, listening to Texas right now, before that I had Hall and Oates greatest hits on, I like Simply Red, Queen, Scissor Sisters, Simon and Garfunkel ..... loads of stuff - depends a lot on what mood I'm in
how 'bout you? Anything I'd recognise??
Time Time Time
bedmechanic keeper of the tongue in cheek and guardian of the empty wallet Posted May 1, 2005
Anything but heavy country(all those jangling banjos and fiddles) and opera.
Gotta say I'm not a fan of Simply Red though(I don't like his voice)
I have the same trouble with Evanesance, her voice just jangles my nerves
I mostly like seventies prog. rock, though I'm not old enough to have seen most of the bands at the time.
But anything with a tune will do(I've even got some classical stuff but don't hate me for it)

I'm not a fan of opera either, so you're safe there ...
I think basically I like anything with a bit of a toon to it, some things more than others .... some things I like one day and not the next , you know how it goes
some things I hated when I was a kid (in the 70's ) I quite like now, there's no logic to it really other than I think your tastes change

Ooh greedily grabs .
I can't say that my taste in music has changed that much over the years.
I mean I was pretty open to almost anything from the start.
I think you have to be if you like Pink Floyd( chokes on )
I will admit that I had a problem with dance music at first.
Most of my mates were into it and I couldn't see anything in it.
It was only when I learned not to listen to it as such and just let the beat move me that I started to enjoy it.
Though with food my tastes have changed over the years quite a lot.
Just had to change mouse (my fault for not charging the other one)

in' system won't let me post without a fight at the mo ...
so sorry if things are taking a long time
I think I'm a lot more open to different types of music now than I was when I was a kid ... I hated anything that the rest of the kids liked back then - didn't like 'pop' music - but now I'll give most things a go (within reason )
anyway, m'dear, I'm going to say g'night now .... feeling a bit ...
enjoy your day out tomorrow, catch up with you tomorrow evening if you're about
