What would you like, Monsy? Kheldar, are you ready for a refill?

*The color tv mounted high in the corner behind the bar is turned to a Green Bay Packers football game. The sound is off on it becuase the jukebox is still blaring c&w.*

I'm always ready for a refill smiley - winkeye.
It's nice to watch football again. It's been ages since I've seen one of those matches. Last time was a couple of years ago, when I was in the stadium at an Amsterdam Admirals match

*Orders the drinks*

This is American football. Not soccer. It is lived and breathed by the people of Wisconsin.

I know smiley - smiley. That was what I was talking about as well. The soccer team from Amsterdam is called Ajax, and the American Football team is called Admirals. I used to work for a sportswear-company, and it was mostly about American sports, and the team-logo's were all over the clothing, so I know a few things about stuff like that smiley - smiley

Sorry. ~blushing~ I didn't mean to underestimate you. Do you like American football?

Absolutely. I have always enjoyed myself very much during football matches. It took me a while to understand the game, but now that I got is (ish), it's great fun to watch. And of course, the show aspect adds a lot to the general mood in the stadium smiley - smiley

I thought Mai Tai was a Dutch group. Three singing girls with absolutely awful songs (even in the 80's). I was glad when they quit smiley - winkeye

*Monsy's drink arrives, umbrella poking out perkily.*

What do you mean, even in the 80's? I liked 80's music! Have you ever heard of a German 80's group called Boney M? or another called Lots of Love? *They* were really bad, but I still liked them!!

I like 80's music also, and I know the bands you are referring to. But among the type of groups I was talking about (and they had quite a few in the 80's), Mai Tai was definately one of the worst.

*Bowhunting season for deer has just opened in Wisconsin. Three men dressed in camoflage come in with big grins on their faces. The whole bar empties out into the parking lot to see the white tailed deer lying tied to their trucks. Mari-rae doesn't move.*

They bait the deer with food for months beforehand, then sit in a tree above and wait for the deer to come when the season opens.

Not that I agree with these kind of activities (NOT AT ALL!!!!!), but it *does* sound like the easiest way to achieve your goal.

It certainly takes the skill out of hunting.

it means that it is no longer hunting in my book...it is then just downright murder.....
hunting is when the animal has a fighting chance...murder is when you lure it to you under false pretenses........baiting a field is not a fair hunt...
sorry, i had a couple of bosses who bought some land a few years back and did just that...baited the fields then claimed to be going hunting....bragging about the kills they made and everything when they returned....made me sick....
