Ah, now we're getting somewhere. Thank you Monsy, for sharing that with us. And I didn't even know that one. I have to keep that in mind for when I have visitors who intend to take over my kitchen.

hehe!! i have tons of little known but useful facts ....
like, did you know that if you stick a marble in someone gas tank it will drive them nuts for weeks on end until they finally drop their gas tank as a last resort in attempting to discover why it is that as soon as their automobile heats up it quits is? not that i have ever done this mind you...just heard about it
oh! and mothballs (aka sugaring a gas tank) doesn't work anymore

HEY!! i'm not THAT much older than you!!
btw...let us not forget about this tidbit of knowledge...
if you fill a glass with ice and water when the ice melts the glass will still not overflow because the space which was taken up by the ice is the same amount of space now taken up by the new water

i never understood the usefullness of that one either but it seems to come up quite often in science classes, discussions, documentaries and so on....must be when they are running out of things to talk about they mention that as a way of showing they are closing up shop for the moment .
here is a stumper for you...the higher up you are when you drop a cat then the better the odds that the cat will survive unscathed .

I'm pretty sure there's a limit to that. And why would you want to drop a cat from great heights?? And how much of those facts do you have left ?

Well, I'm afraid I don't have little known facts to share with you. Usually those facts come with life experience, and since I'm only 23, I cannot compete with all the wisdom you two have gathered...
