my ultra violet life
well in real life i am an art and philosophy student in dundee. it seems like it would be a very pretentious course but the people i have met on it have generally disuaded me of this notion, although some like myself do border on the pretentious side.
i am creative and thoughtful, and i feel generally quite articulate with my ideas but i often rush to get my ideas out causing mistakes and general waffling so i apologise to anyone who may find this less than endearing.
thoughts
although i do think about serious subjects and am very interested in the world and people in general, much of what i talk about seems trivial or inconsequential. i like this as it is often the little things that are over looked by serious thinkers and many of them create interesting topics of thought. i generally find inspirstion in the little things.
art
i enjoy all kinds of art, though i do not like all kinds of art.
the best art to me is something i have never seen before, whether this is contempory or classical, i like to experience art i have not thought about before.
although i would love to be successful enough to make a difference with my art and prehaps even make a living from it, i think the most important thing about making art is to make it because you love it. if you do not love your art, or are purely making it to make money there is no point to it. i think i will probably ebd up as an art critic.
music
i have a very wide taste in music, everything from the beatles, roxy music and yo la tengo to the zutons, pendulum and alabama 3.
like art, i enjoy hearing things i haven't heard before. i think the uk has a great music scene at the moment.
