You are sub-ed'ing my first baby...

Hi there,

You helped me out a few weeks ago about my vs. issue, and now I just notice you are the sub-editor for that Chinese tea article I wrote.

You might have noticed by now that I am not a native English speaker, and you probably hate me for torturing the language of Shakespear, and Miles, and the Bible... (?)smiley - erm
Thanks anyway for whatever improvement you can bring to that piece.smiley - ok

Following advices from the Peer Review fellows, there was a weak point in the explanations I tried to tidy up a bit, something about "tea container" and "tea leaves container". A bit confusing, really.
And I missed a part...
About 3/4 down the article, on the "Technique" section, I should have written something like :
"After a minute or so, tea is poured out in the cups, and any remaining tea has to be poured in an empty pot (...)"
and not
"After a minute or so, tea is poured out in the cups, and any remaining tea has to be poured in the tea container (...)"

I already edited the original entry, but then realised it was too late.

Could you help me with that, if you agree that is makes more sense ?

Thanks ! And have cup on me !smiley - tea

Vincent

Hi Vincent,

don't worry, I'm not a native English speaker either... smiley - winkeye

I must admit that I haven't yet started with the Chinese Tea entry. Thanks for your message; I'll get the new version from your personal space and sort out the things you mentionend when I start subbing.

I'll get back to you later. smiley - smiley

Thanks a lot for going through the whole article without falling asleep (did tea help ?)...

I am just a little concerned that it might appear too long. Your opinion ?
But I can't find of anything that could be removed !...

One little thing :
In the "temperature" section, I realised that the actual temperature was indicated without any unit... Actually, originally I did not know how to type the proper "degree celsius" sign. Then I just forgot to check...

And thanks for the additional info on tea cups shapes. Nice addition and rephrasing.

Excellent !

Hey Connie,

glad you liked the subbing. smiley - smiley

I don't think the entry is too long; in fact, I wouldn't remove anything. The temperature is now a proper one with '°C'.

I'm extremely glad you liked the new 'tea cups' section, but I didn't add anything, just fixed two typos. smiley - winkeye

OK, then, off to the Editors with it.

Do you mean to say that I originally wrote that ? And I don't remember it ? And when I saw it, and thought it was your doing, I liked it ?
[Connie L. actually goes to check the original entry]

[Connie L. is back, in shock]

I don't know what they put in my tea, but wow !... smiley - cheerup

Thanks anyway to help me realise that I work too much...smiley - wah

Hi again !

there is that new entry in Peer Review : A2200131...

As you picked-up mine last year (Chinese Tea), and I think I'd very much like to cross-reference this one (as a link to "Tea Ceremony"), do you think you'd be interested in pushing it up a bit, so it makes it way faster into the edited entries ?

Have a nice day !
