I noticed that you are subbing both my Cookham entry and my Swan Upping one - is there any chance you could put a link from the Cookham one to the Swan Upping one? The appropriate place is in the last paragraph of the Cookham Village section. I wrote the swan one specifically to explain the term in the other one so it would be great to get them linked up

Hi, I've just noticed (when I checked ComingUp) that my favourite footnote has disappeared from my Cookham entry - why? There was no objection to it in the PR thread - in fact it was commented on as a good and funny addition.

It was there last time I looked and seems to have suddenly gone

Seems to be that the Editors deemed that footnote a serious case of ness and took it out. From my experience, it's a borderline case and I half expected it...

I suspected it was the eds that took it out. I'm a bit cross about it to be honest, what is wrong with a little, controlled, non-essential bit of silliness? The rest of the piece is entirely lacking in levity, being a fairly straight despcription of a place, so I'm upset that the one hint of lightness has gone.

I've asked about it in editorial feedback, will see what they say.
