My friend says that everyone is in some respects Bisexual, and I'm inclined to agree with her. Or maybe that's just coz I like women and men. I think its a very natural way to be.
I also have trouble believing that people are meant to be monogamous. I mean, how many men do you know who are married, but still lust after other women. I would really like to find someone who loved me and wanted to be with me, but who I could stand seeing other people and not get into a jealous rage. I think that you can truly love one person, but also want to sleep with/be with someone else.
Or am I just mad?

No Alan you are not mad at all.
I am in a relationship that, while not 'open' in the sense that we have 'flings' with other people all the time, has an underlying set of rules which enable us to easily negotiate alternatives when the need arises. (And funnily enough since we have had this rule set in place my partner has found the need to 'stray' less urgent, permission to look and consider has changed their view of promiscuous behaviour remarkably)
We have found that frank, honest and open communication right from the start, about our desires, fears and needs in relation to our sexuality has made our relationship a very stable one.
Eventually we hope to be part of a multiple partner 'family', though we realise that this will become exponentially harder to acheive with each additional member. (Especially with our high expectations )
