oh, i was thinking of starting a forum in which an expedition in an extremeley large supercomputer is going on. wanna be a "lewis and clark" kind of sidekick? i really don't know if it will go down all that well, but i figure it's worth a shot. smiley - smiley

Maybe... would this entail blowing things up? There would also have to be some other people along.

And I've never before heard of Matthew Good Band. (1. I'm in California, and 2. I have virtually no connections to popular culture.)

yes, i do need to tell more people about this idea to get it started, and yes, it will most likely involve blowing stuff up. you haven't heard of Matt Good Band? i thought they hade made it in the states.oh well, can't blame ya, they started in Vancouver, thus most fans live in B.C. and good ol' Canada. Please don't tell me Canada sucks, i'm very proud of it even if we have our problems. ask me about glen clark sometime and you'll see what i mean. smiley - smiley :^)# smileys are cool, even if they aren't converted for H2G2.

I'm sure Canada is just fine, though I haven't been there personally. It's possible that they've gained some acclaim down here, but as I said, I wouldn't know a popular artist if they walked up and said hi. (Actually, I'd probably realise that they were somebody special due to the throngs of pursuing fans, but we'll ignore that for the sake of argument.)

All smileys, aka emoticons, are rather spiffy. The Jester has one like this: 3smiley - biggrin

interesting. i must admit, matt good band is kinda a local band, but they made it onto big shiny tunes 3 and 4 ( a really cool cd series in Canada ) so i thought you might know them. ohh i am mad at the saving the galaxy effort forums! i tried to join one and the said i was annoying. fancy that coming from a pokemon freak ( went to the guy's page, almost all his forum entries are on pokemon ). i wonder if you are logged on while i write this? i'm going to go check now. ;-/# the thinking smiley, my own invention ( i think ).

Odd, I could have sworn that I responded to this...

As I said, I wouldn't know a popular cd if it walked up and said hi.

well, no one knows everyone or anything. try some of the international radio stations on the net - i listen to them with realplayer even though realplayer isn't all that great in the sound department. your computer must be wonky, that's about the third time something strange has happened while on h2g2. mabye it's just h2g2 itself. #8-D wierd haired happy smiley! oh man, i had to much sugar today and that smiley proves it.

RealPlayer is decent for streaming media, but much better at playing files on your own computer.

Third time something weird has happened to you or in the history of the site? As many have pointed out, h2g2 is just a large collection of wackos with above-average intellects. I agree.

*****: ) = Marge Simpson (I had to leave out the nose, otherwise it would show up as *****smiley - smiley
