And grammeticly incorrect I was too. I like mangaling english, a pastime you should appreciate, since you plan an entry on english teachers.

Heh heh heh... That's nifty, and I have had a look at your Bad Advice. It seems to me that whether or not 'Trust me' is bad advice is dependant on the situation, but most often bad. I shall include a comment on the predicted effects of mangled english on the teachers in my entry, assuming I ever get around to writing the thing. All in due time, I guess...

Just put in little bits at a time. That's what I do with mine. Sorr5y about not getting back to you sooner. My forum list apparently bumped you onto the older forums page before I even saw that you had left a reply.

So you're saying that you can store your work in progress, and then come back and finish up later? How does that work?

On second thought, I should be able to figure it out by myself. (My second thoughts sometimes take a while)

After you have part of an entry saved, a button that says update will appear, and also one that says submit. If you use the submit button, it changes to unsubmit. I'm absolutly sure that you'll be able to make it work, on account of being mostly competent.

Ah, erm, well...

I've been kinda busy today, and it's 1:24 here (that's AM), so I'm just posting to my main forums and hitting the hay.

Maybe later today...

Entries are easy compared to editing your page. Just wait till you decide to spiff it up.

I found multicolored section dividers and text with a color gradient on somebody's page (I think it was Bluebottle's). I should go check the GuideML reference for how to do that - it looks really cool.

If you follow the links on my pull down link list some of them will lead you to places where you can get stuff like that. Some of the stuff I have only shows up if you are using internet explorer, which kinda sucks. I'd say go take a look at the GuideML directory, if I remember right, that's the good one.

How can I "sound" anything? This is cyberspace! In cyberspace... no one can hear you scream.

OK, fine.

The context of your response implied a lack of enthusiasm in the subject being discussed.

Is that better? smiley - smiley

You've obviously seen the trailor for Alien3 though. That ad bothered me a lot. First they say "In space no-one can hear you scream", and then the very next thing you see is a spaceship going past making a really loud noise. HEL-LO! Didn't anyone in charge of the movie see anything wrong with this? Or should I take it as them assuming consumers are idiots and won't notice? Either way I don't like it.

Fascinating, isn't it? Did you know that only "2001: A Space Odyssey" and its successors were made true-to-space, with no sound outside the ships? (At least to my knowledge.)

Sorry if I'm nitpicky, it's just the way I generally am.

2001 was indeed factually correct.
And there's nothing wrong with being nitpicky. I yelled at my roomate earlier because she moved my shampoo, and then realised what I was doing, and apologised. So I think we're about equal on the nit pick scale.

Wow.

I don't think that I've gotten up that high on the single-event scale yet, but probably so if cumulatively speaking. (That sounds like bad grammar to me.) For example, when I was about 6 or 7, if I banged my right foot against the wall by accident, I'd bang the left one too, just so they'd be even.

Wacko, huh? smiley - smiley

Could be worse...

I used to have these precise arrangements of knicknacks and suchlike on my dresser. If one was out of line, I'd spend like 15 minutes trying to get it precisely back to where it was. Thank the gods I realised how silly that was. Nowadays I've got a stunning collection of safty pins, screwdrivers, cassette tapes, and dust in chaotic disarray up there. (it's ever so much easier to maintain) smiley - smiley

My problem with the shampoo bottle was that she had moved it to the other side of the room, thereby making it impossible to reach without getting out of the shower. Annoying, but not worth yelling about.

Well, it's 4:20 am, and I think my brain just quit for the day. (morning?)
