A summer Evening/s thought
The frog, the cricket and the wind.
Their echo in my room.
The sun that fades into the shades.
The night. The Mist. The Gloom.
My voice? I gave it to the frog.
His larynx seemed adrift.
And all my fright about the night?
That was the cricket's gift.
My eyes and ears went to the mist
To warn of evening's toll.
But all I've sinned I gave the wind
And to the gloom my soul.
