Hi I'm Welshy
The reason I'm called Welshy is that I grew up in Wales, surprisingly enough, near to Dolgellau (pronon Dol-gell(this is where you put your tougue between your teeth and blow)-i)which is Mid West Wales and part of the Snowdonia National Park.
Unfortunately I'm now living in England and my friends have termed me Welshy as a term of endearment.....as least that's how I see it.
I have a degree in Geography, but please don't ask me what the capital city is for Outer Mongolia as I haven't the foggiest. Geography to me means Plate Tectonics, Glacier flows, Meteorology and also some more human type stuff about ageing societies' demographics, Gender in Society ,etc.
I work as a Network Technician for a Communications Company, which I feel has many geographic connotations....for example we route data traffic from one country via another country to it's final detination in this country. Fantastic!!
My friends (the same ones who call me Welshy) have said that I look like a cross between a short Keanu Reeves, a young Marlon Brando and Father Dougle from Father Ted. If you can imagine a cross between these three I am there somewhere.
