In love with the memory of Joan Bennet...
This is rather like one of those ghastly meetings where everyone has to introduce themselves; I much prefer the variation on this theme where you talk to the person sitting next to you and then introduce them to the group. However, as this is my first visit to this extremely accomodating site (thanks) having been exiled from a fairly regular place on the Guardian's FilmUnlimited Talkboards I'll introduce myself. Since the exodus, my productivity has soared to previously unimaginable heights so I'm delighted that this window of inactivity has now opened before I get promotion and a pay-rise.
I'm 44 and work as a cataloguer/indexer at a university research centre. My twin passions are food and films; I've just embarked on a new obssesion with film noir and consequently am in love with the memory of Joan Bennet.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
