Feeling human again

After a couple of weeks holiday the stress of work has worn off and life in general seems a bit better. I'm off to Dublin with my daughter on Wed. which I'm really looking forward to. A "girls" holiday---shopping, drinking, eating, and if a couple of millionaires turn up we might not come back!
I hope you're having a good summer and are having some fun before becoming a hardworking student.

I'm glad to hear you're OK now. I might not know you from Adam (except minor anatomical differences ) but I can still worry.
Anyway, hope you have fun, and no I'm not. I'm working. Not very much, but as my shifts are 6am-9am then 6pm-10pm, you can see that I have to be awake a lot. And as all my friends are doing those interesting things you're meant to sign up for between College and Uni (and I, being a lazy sod, didn't) life's a little slow right now.
Expect to see about five hundred new H2G2 pages before October.

Hi Casanova... how's the world's second greatest lover today?

Oh, (s)he's interested NOW, now that (s)he's standing for an election. If it doesn't take up too much of your invaluable (sorry, unvaluable) time, could you tell me what this election thing is about, how to vote, what political view you represent, and what my percentage is? Such information would be priceless (sorry, worthless).
But, seeing as you asked so sycophantically, I'm fine ta. Tired (having got up at 5:00 to go to work), underpaid (I am responsible for a man's livelihood - ie his business - for the most important times - ie opening up and locking up - and get paid Nat Min wage. It's a joke.), somewhat desperate on the old relationship front as I have yet to find anyone serious enough for more than casual stuff and am now getting a little old - at 18 you get kicked out of most Weymouth nightclubs with the phrase "and don't come back Grandad!".
Anyway, only 29 days to go until I get my A-Level results, and finally realise how important my revision WOULD have been.

Oh I'm male... (prehaps I *should* pretend to be female, it'd probably get me more votes. Oh well, a bit late now)
The election thing... ur... it was started up by ShazzPRME who runs the POST newspaper, as a parody of the American Presidency elections. Six of us are running for President of H2G2, and it's gained quite a lot of interest (mainly 'cos there's one or two candidates taking it all terribly seriously)
Take a look at http://www.h2g2.com/A373907, it's the campaign headquarters, and I think it's got links to all the candidate's campaign pages (and silly pictures and stuff)
My political view? Well come to think of it, I don't know really. Take a look at my campaign page if you're vaguely interested in what I have to say though.
Nat Min wage doesn't sound too good. Have you tried going to employment agencies? Around here they take anyone who can type for office work, which is deadly boring but pays well.
The revision thing sounds horribly familiar...

Hi again. How were the exam results? I hope you got what you wanted.

Could have been better... A in Physics, A in Maths, A in Further Maths, A in Critical Thinking, B in General Studies. Luckily Oxford aren't too fussy about gen. stud. so I got in. But there was room for improvement, for instance only two of my papers got marked 100%...

*Casanova taps Peregrine's face lightly, to no avail.*
*Casanova lightly splashes cold water over Peregrine's face, to no avail.*
*Casanova reaches for his thirteen-kilo ceremonial war halibut, stands over Peregrine, raises the halibut aloft, cries out to the Gods in a way that only the really butch Anime heroes could, whirls the halibut around...*

Well, it woke you up, didn't it?
*In the style of aforementioned Anime heroes, Casanova tucks the halibut of death into a small fold in his loincloth smaller than his wallet is.*

That reminds me, there's an Anime film on tonight which I want to watch... called The Wings of something, or something like that.
I'm not usually in the habit of watching Anime but this one's been recommended to me.

Neither am I particularly into Anime, but I have a friend who is. He's sat next to me, actually, and I have therefore picked up various things. For instance, when I get angry, buildings fly past me as if I was shooting upwards at many hundreds of miles to the hour.
This is the person who has made a video called "Neon Genesis Allan-gelion".

The Wings of Wotsit was extremely good I thought. Wasn't one of the big action ones but had a superb storyline.
I'm about to watch another one, The Ghost in the Shell or something.

You CANNOT overdose on the Simpsons, blasphemer! You can merely absorb and revel in its brilliance.

But of course.
Next week Sky One are celebrating ten years of The Simpsons on Sky. So I'm keeping my diary clear

Well, look at you with your oh-so-sweet "Sky" T.V. I don't have Sky and I don't need Sky! I have BBC1, BBC2, ITV and - if the weather's good - Channel "alternative" 4. You and your stuck-up sattelites!
(To be said with ABSOLUTELY no hint of jealous sarcasm.)

Nya ha! We have Sky! Nya ha ha!!!
(sorry, I shouldn't gloat, should I)
Actually it's not really worth it. There's very few programmes that I actually *watch*.
