Hi Shirps!

Indeed, we do seem to have a lot in common, and you are the one person who has responded to all my posts. (I really appreciate that!)

I thought it was most interesting that your wedding anniversary is March 3; mine's March 7. Spooky, isn't it?!

I hope that we can continue to respond to each other. My best friend still lives in Pennsylvania (5 1/2 hours away), and I haven't really found any friends here in NH yet, so I rely on the internet for the majority of my conversation with other human beings.

Pathetic, I know, but at least I'm honest!

Hiya! waves paws smiley - biggrin

No problem smiley - ok How long have you been on h2? Have you not been "greeted" by one of the officiandos of h2 yet? Let me know if you haven't - I'll sort them out smiley - laugh

Feel free to look through some of the threads in which I take part - they are totally mad, but that may suit you smiley - winkeye - just come in & introduce yourself - some are a little bit of kindof role-playing of sorts.

My wedding anni. is 1st March, but it will be 3 years this year, although we've been together for 12 years now (2nd time around for both of us). He has two children, 37 & 40 with 2 toddlers, and I have one daughter, nearly 28, with a baby girl born on the 21st Jan this year.

My birthday is 11th March & this year I hit the big 50, but still feel alot younger smiley - sadface

I really timed the wedding for the wrong date: Valentine's Day 14th Feb, Anni. 1st March, B'Day 11th March, Mother's Day 26th March - then that's it till the next year - all celebrations almost together, very bad planning smiley - winkeye

I moved from North London to Northamptonshire around 18 years ago & found that all my friends thought I lived hundreds of miles away, so, naturally, I lost touch with them. It was fine while I was working, but then when I had to give up I realised I knew nobody! I joined an art class for some physio for my hands (reduced muscle wastage) &, as you've probably read, became secretary. That gave me a great boost, but I still haven't really made any strong friendships - a few I can have a smiley - coffee with, but not real buddies. I can't drive either, which is a pain smiley - sadface

So I DO understand & you are not in any way pathetic smiley - cheerup

smiley - hug
smiley - dog

How's this for a coincidence: you moved to Northamptonshire, and I moved out of Northampton County! (I'm in Cheshire County now.)

I will look into the forums in which you participate. I know you've talked about computer RPG's; do you play anything like D&D? I hate to confess to being nerdy, but I still play RPG's (tabletop stuff.) I currently run a Call of Cthulhu game every Sunday in Keene. The game is based on the writings of HP Lovecraft. Very horrifying. It is the only day of the week when I get to see other adults.

Have to stop here if I want to read more of your posts!

(And yes, I did get welcomed by an ACE. It's just nice to have someone else welcome me too! Thanks!)
