I have just re read your poetry for the second time. I can see why you so fiercly defend the obscure, however the more I read the more I can see where you are coming from. 'Murrays Birthday' touched my heart in a very personal way which illustrates what you said in one of the conversations about people finding their own meanings. Those words brought to mind my Lost Boy who left us suddenly and tragically at the ageof 31. I write poetry but have never been able to find words to show my feelings about his death. Your poem says something of how I still feel after 10 years.
I showed the poem to my wife who shed tears.

Wow kif, I must admit my own eyes brimmed up reading your generous message. It was also 1994, 10th May, when my brother died, aged 26. A spark of sympathy fired when I read you're also feeling the grief a decade on. I sadly had a double devestation as my father died in January 94. It slowed down my studies but coming to London in98 and landing a decent job I thought I was handling it. For the last two years though I seem to have strayed a bit. I think maybe I've not really got over death's closeness in my life. Reading your life story is an inspiration. There's a restless drive for grabbing the world's various gifts and you express a gratitude and an appreciation that gives life a satisying significance - at least from where I'm sittiing. It's been a privilege and a fine pleasure to have encountered you here in hyperspace. I've only been online at home for a week or so and this is the first group I've joined. You assure me it's a worthwhile thing to do.
I enjoyed your poems, esp your toilet one, and I've somethings to say about them another time. When I'll also help you clarify the reform of your judgement on progressive poetry - you've just got to accept your place in the avant garde, secured with your prized poem I eagerly await.
ta ta for now

Hi Anax
this is my 'prize poem'
I took the words from a Chambers dictionary and shoved in a few prepositions and the definitive article. I should admit that in the 60's my then writer friends were mostly inspired by pot(hence my name Kif)
Gestation of comeliness,
axis of dump
lopping the pundit in spirit.
together the heartfelt saturant
unadapted lecythus delivery
and the fruitless
inaugeration
of omniscience.
This shoiuld be intoned with a slow deliberate delivery to get the full impact of what rubbish it is
