Just dropping by and I thought I'd sign your guest book, so to speak. A pretty good page aside from a couple of typo's, I think! You sound like a nice laid back person. By the way, J.K.Rowling should be you heroine, surely, she is a lady after all.
Gundam Wing is known as GirlyWing in this part of the world, for obvious reasons!
I may drop by your chat room some time, I can be found in the [url removed ny moderator] chat room sometimes, as well as in the [url removed by moderator].
hope you have fun building world peace through shared popular culture!
cheers,
Kipper
PS please keep an eye out for my first anime guide entry, ta!

Kipperbabes:
You are my new best friend! ...Oh, just so you know, if the anime thingy you wrote is about an insanely obscure anime (such as my Kodomo no Omocha entry, at the bottom of the page, currently submitted and subsequently ignored,) h2g2 will probably never post it. Evil, that, anime baing such a ery large pary of Japanese (and American now,) culture. It's disturbing.
I mean, I'm so into anime that I've banned myself from listening to American music (okay, I admit it, I listen to Harvey Danger, but they dun't couint, seeing as Seattle is a "completely different continent" according to my daemon Thrasymachus. He's a little white dragon. See him? *points in his general direction, he waves and smiles a pointy-toothed dragon smile*) and only really listen to The Barenaked Ladies and J-pop now. (Utada Hikaru is a goddess. Check out some of her stuff if you have the time. And then Yellow Monkey is very very veeery good J-rock. Super-sexy.)
But anyway., I Do hope you get your anime thing posted. Good luck, as it were. Hopefully h2g2's not going to be as evil to you as it was to me.
And yes, I do realise there are typos, but I tend to ignore little things like that. You see, spell check is my registered Goddess (really now,) and erm, h2g2? It dun't have spell check. (and yes, I did certainly mean "dun't." en't it a lovely word? [en't "en't" a lovely word also?])
So yes, thank you for listening to me rant! ^_~!
You rock!
Jedi Jade
(and her kawaii chibi dragon daemon Thras, too.)

OH YEH!
D'you particularly mid if I call you Kipperbabes?
...I certainly hope not, seeing as I just wrote it into that last post...
heh. ^o^* <---that's a sweatdrop----
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 6, 2001
Hello again Jade-chan!
Nice to hear from you! I don't mind being called Kipperbabes at all - 'cause you're not the only foreign female who thinks I'm a hoopy frood dude who knows where his towel is (although really I'm more of an Arther Dent ^_^). And besides, I never argue with a lady wielding a light sabre....
The anime review I posted is about Kimagure Orange Road, so it's not exactly obscure. I'll give them a week, and then I'll start haranguing the help desk I think. Thanks for those Jap. musicians you mentioned, I'll see what I can dig up by them. I really like Japanese opening themes to animes - Record of Lodoss War Chronicles of the Heroic Knight is one of my faves. I think not being able to understand the lyrics makes them sound even more musical....
So you have Spell Check as a registered Goddess? I'd rather have Urd as my personal Goddess (Ah! My Goddess), but I'd just _have_ to develop a suitable resistance to lightning bolts >_< @_@ ....
I don't know why the reference to my newsgroup was erased, but you can find it on my introductory page.
You're dead lucky anime-wise to live in the States, you know! The amount of stuff released over here is bugger all compared to what you can get. Thank goodness for internet mail order (and fansubs at my local club)!
Stay a happy bunny!
Kipper

Here's another quick update, Jade, because I just got my entry successfully posted! I went back to the submission page and re-entered it, and bingo! it is now in! it's A532090, but it's not in the Search list just yet.
Why don't you try re-submitting your entry? Perhaps it's just a software glitch that prevented it from being posted.
Good luck!
Cheers, Kipper. :D

Nani...? Nani...?
NANIIII????
You actually got it posted...? Yow! Yo! You are one decidedly hoopy ostentatious tourist!!!
*hugs impulsively*
*runs off to re-submit her Kodocha entry*
Ja ne! ^_^!
Jade-chan (And Thrasymachus, also.)
ps: Bunny is one of my nicknames... hehehe.
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 8, 2001
Hey Jade-chan! *hugs* and your daemon too *kawaii!*
I'm not sure why you think H2G2 had ignored your posting - it was already on the website for me to read, therefore it _was_ posted already. Perhaps you had submitted it for Edited status instead, you mean?
BTW, a bit of advice if you want more people to read and comment on it, try adding the word "anime" a few more times to your review, in order to boost the measly 8% score in the search engine you have at the moment. IIRC I think my score is a righteous 30% or so!
best of luck, bunny Jade! *Bunny girls....Mmmmmmmmm*

Thanx, Kipperbabes-kun.(What a mothful.) You rock.

Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 9, 2001
Hello again Jade-chan!
I just checked out your review and it's looking a lot better, just one or two cut-off lines left now. Your score is now 13%, well done, although that pales beside my mighty 39% *smug* !
I have put my article in for peer review with a view to being Edited - why don't you too? I got some useful and positive feedback, but it looks like learning GuideML will be a good idea. I might have a go at that tonight.
Good luck and hugs from me,
to a groovy young babe...I mean...chick...er...*ducks*

Kipperbabes-kun:
Haha!
And how are you so sure I'm young? Groovy yes, but...
Aaaw, okay, I'm young. BUT ANYWAY.
Yeah, I hypothetically I /should/ work on my Kodocha entry, but erm, I've been more that a touch busy (with play tryouts and learning the Japanese lyrics to Megumi Hayashibara's "Extrication", [which consequently is a far more difficult undertaking that I had originaly thought,]) and so I haven't much time for online... things.
Anyway, Thanx *laughs* I think on the psuedo "congratulation" on my 13%. And good job on your 39%... *lol*
But I have to go. Lots more forums to answer...
Jade-chan (And, of course, Thras)
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 11, 2001
Greetings once again, Jade-chan!
I'm please to see that my educated guess was on target! I quite understand that real life has a tendency to overrule life on-line. I hope that you get the part in the play that you're trying for! *fingers crossed*
I'll be leaving fixing up my entry until this bank holiday weekend when I'll have some spare time.
BTW, I see that of the dozen or so people listed under an "anime" search, only two are apparently non-US based.... I find this a bit odd for a BBC based website, but I guess that's par for the course as regards the net as a whole.
Have fun with your anime karaoke by the way! This was one of the most, er, 'interesting' things that took place at an anime con I went to a few weeks ago!
best wishes from a grey-haired old Kipper....
Hi there Jade!
Jedi Jade and her daemon Thras AKA Dr. Amelia T. "Bermuda" Rangel Posted Apr 14, 2001
Ah. Monsingoir Kipper-kun is actually a "sama" then...?
Yo! *laughs*
Well ysh. I did very undauntingly well at my tryouts for the play, and subsequently landed a very large part, which is of course why I'm only just now answering this. I appologise for that. But then, seeing as I have prectice every day after classes for three weeks starting this next week here, It'll be a great while before I'm back on reguarly again. (YK is going to murder me for that, I'm certain...)
BUT ANYWAY! I also did the anime karoke thing, and everyone said I sounded teriffic. I think so too, but I all I could hear of myself was the echoing off the mic, so, well, let's just say saound distortion isn't good.
So! Enough about Jade-chan here. How has Kepper-sama been doing these past three days? I'm dying to know.
Talk to you soon,
Jade an' Thrasymachus
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 15, 2001
Hello again Jade-chan!
Congratulations on your very large part (f'nar f'nar) I hope it all goes well for you. I always liked plays at school, even if I wasn't much of an actor....
Things are going OK here, though I won't be going to anime club tonight since our beloved leader trashed his Saab.... (How can a postman afford a Saab, I ask you?)
Yes indeed I am terribly old... (28 actually) the only thing worse than grey hair on your head is grey hair in your _beard_. but I suppose that's not a problem for you my dear
I've been having fun this bank holiday watching Slayers Next and Patlabor at any opportunity (ie when my missus is out), and I ought to have a go at that guide-ml sometime.
By the way, I like the sound of Kipper-sama! Suitably distinguished I feel
I'll be thinking of you doing karaoke when I watch Lina Inverse in a mini-skirt and "magical girl" type costume doing a karaoke-spell from a Slayers episode i've just seen! Cuuute and very funny! ^_^
I hope you have been feeding your little dragon regularly, pets are for life you know! Oh bugger, that reminds me the guinea-pigs are still in the garden!
Got to go, stay happy petal!
The Venerable Kipper.

"The Venerable Kipper-sama"
I rather think I like that.
Thank you for the congrats, BUT I'M GOING FREAKING INSANE!
My social life is absolutely kaput. I can't even flirt with the Russian exchange student at lunch because I'm going over lines. (And we all know that there must not be enough hours in a day if one cannot flirt with said Russian exchange student.)
Kipper-sama in a mini-skirt? *raises an eyebrow* I'm not too certain that I want to see that. Still... If you take pictures, I would very much like to see them. Laughing would be a welcome thing now. (I haven't time to laugh either. Insane, wot?)
Yes, I feed Thrasymachus mint-chocolate dragon biscuts. He rather likes them. See? He's nodding. He does. *pats Thras on the head*
But I mush be off. My manager is going to be here in fifteen minutes and I haven't even gotten dressed yet. (Hehehe. Watashi wa baka-ne...)
Jade-chan and her loyal daemon Thrasymachus
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 16, 2001
Greetings once more Jade-chan!
No flirting time for you? Now there's devotion to your part! keep working hard though! What kind of play is it, out of interest?
By the way, I meant I'd imagine _you_ doing karaoke in a mini-skirt outfit, not me! I just haven't got the legs for them, myself *sigh*.
oh yeah, I have just updated my entry to GuideML. It wasn't that tricky, really.
As far as my anime-learnt Japanese goes, I _think_ you said "I am an idiot, no"? How close am I?
I hope your social life picks up! Good luck with the Russky!
hugs and a wink from,
The Venerable Kipper-sama

To the Venerable Kipper-sama:
Yo. So yeh, I didn't wear a mini-skirt whilst singing my J-pop song, I wore what my manager (accurately) called "something of the Punk Rock Prom Queen" nature" and I looked pretty jolly well cute. So there we be then.
The play is a (taking this directly from the cover of my script,) "A commedy melo-drammer." And Jade-chan is playing a hen-pecking middle aged housewife (Subsequently, one of my best friends was cast as my husband, and that has room to get, for lack of a better term, a little weird.). And I'm having the time of my life doing so.
Yes, you were quite right on with your translation. Good for you, and the Ruusky asked me to prom today. Too bad I've had a date for 4 months already, no?
Jade-chan and Thrasymachus-kun
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 17, 2001
Wow. You sound like a pretty funky singer!
"A commedy melo-drammer." ??? Either that means something more to you Americans, or your script writer will be having big trouble ahead, methinks. So your best friend will be playing the part of your hubby? That sounds like there could be some corny soap-opera goings-on, perhaps! Best of luck anyway! Have fun while you're young, that's what I say. All too soon you'll be old (ish) and cynical like me ^_^.
I'm happy that my translation was on target! I knew that watching cartoons all the time had an educational value!
So you've had a date set up for your prom (summer ball?) for four months already? Crikey, when I was at school, I knew couples who met, went out, fell out, and got dumped in less time than that! You guys take your party organisation seriously, I can tell.... or are you just an amazingly popular girl? I saw a prog on TV once where American gals and guys spent hundreds of dollars on outfits and _limousines_ for the ball! Is this normal???
Well, I'm off to be given drugs for a couple of days (be a guinea-pig I mean) but I hope to hear from you (and Thras of course) soon.
Best wishes, (and belated Happy Easter)
the Venerable Kipper-sama ^_^
Hi there Jade!
Jedi Jade and her daemon Thras AKA Dr. Amelia T. "Bermuda" Rangel Posted Apr 17, 2001
Venerable Kipper-sama:
Oh yeh, that thing about spending insane amounts of money on prom? It's totally normal. I myself spent $150.00 on my prom dress. It's reeeally cool. We're not getting a limo tho. We're going in Rei-kun's little white Jetta. @^_^@ <---Look, it's Princess Leia! Aaahhh!---
And no, I'm not all /that/ popular, perse, but a lot of guys like me. ...Mostly because I'm the type that likes anime and Jackie Chan movies and RPG's and Star Wars. The geeky types like me. But I dun't mind it. It's ooookay.
So, why are you a guinea-pig now? What's all that about?
Jade (But Thras because it's his day off.)
Hi there Jade!
Kipper The Anime Nut Posted Apr 23, 2001
Hello again Jade-chan! (and Thras of course) ^_^
Greetings once more from Old York. I'm back after being a human guinea-pig for a few days. This involves me taking part in tolerability studies of drugs under development, ie. do they have any side effects, and how long do they stay in the body. So I get fiddled about with by some nurses for a day, then spend the rest of the time reading, Warhammer modelling, watching TV and playing pool.
I do this 'cause it makes me feel good ethically (I work in healthcare research), but mostly because it pays twice as much cash as my regular job ^_^ (no university education, y'see.....)
@^_^@ will this be your hairstyle for the prom? *grin*
From the list of stuff you're into, it sounds like you're the kind of girl who's "one of the guys". That's cool, when I was at school, some of my best mates were girls like that. ^_^
I hope you have fun at your prom anyway! Is that when you cease to be a "High School Girl" and then become a "College Girl"?
Well, I gotta go now.....
Best regards,
Venerable Kipper-sama

Kipper-sama! Yo! Long time no speak!
Wow. Medical research. Ouch. Kipper-sama has... well, I'd say balls, but that'd get me into trouble... Oh wait, I just did... *^_^ (that little asterisk is a sweatdrop, okay?)Ah well.
But yes! I am definately one of the guys! I proved it this last Saturday, in fact, when I went to the Starfest Covention with Rei-kun (my friend) and his little brother Hayama-kun. There was this Klingon battle thing, with these klingon weapons that I knew nothing about (but I've had some weapons training, so, yeh.), and Reikun's this big t=Trekkie, so of course he decided that we had to do it.
Suffice it to say I kicked some Klingon buttox, and had some e-mail addresses slyly slipped in my general direction (For some reason, guys at geek conventions have a thing for small attractive blonde girls who can hold their own with grown men in batt'lef [sp? Does it matter?] matches.). It was... interesting.
...I am SOOOO stressed out though!!! The director for the play I'm in decided that we're doing all of our preformances NEXT WEEK!
EEK, as it were.
But anyway, I have to go. People on AOL won't let me alone with the instant messages. Hehehe. I'm so popular!
