I hope you're not _too_ bored there in the Guest services Dept. (what a quaint americanism. We call it the Information or Complaints dept. ) I'll tell you, though, that it is totally normal behaviour for the cute chick (ie you) to get all the attention. When I was a lonely batchelor, i would always to to the till at the supermarket with the cutest girl there. Sad, I know, but what the hey, it brought a small ray of sunshine into an otherwise dull day...

Sorry about all the rain you're having.... but we Europeans hope it's raining particularly hard on GW Bush Junior... he's not very popular over here you see....

i'm happy to hear that you are having a good time with your new bloke! I hope you two go well together for a loooong time .
By a coincidence, my missus and i also broke up for a while before getting back together, and we'll be celebrating 5 years of (mostly) wedded bliss this year..... so watch out, you never know where things may lead. ^_^

Oh yeah, don't worry, I have no intention of doing anything dishonourable with Iria, and nor does she, just a drink and a laugh together, you know. Actually I haven't heard from her for a week now, since she was supposed to come back from holiday. She's always been dead keen to keep in touch, you see, and I'm starting to get a little worried about her. She's all finished with her exams, so it can't be that....

Heh, a collegue here at work said jst now that I lived up to me nickname again in a meeting this afternoon! and it wasn't even a particularly dull one! Doh! (oh yeah, Doh is now officially in the Oxford English Dictionary as a word. Cool eh!)

The renn fest was great, and I had a particularly wonderful time with my bloke, as you call him. HE went as my bodyguard. It was rather funny.

But anyhoo. Yesh so. You haven't heard from Iria? I do hope she's all right.

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days, but I've been working working working. Mostly from 9:00am to 6:00pm. Outside. In the heat. I prayed to Anubis for rain. None came. I prayed to Thoth for rain, none came. I prayed to Osirus for rain. None came. Then I realised that those were the wrong gods for rain, (them being the gods [in the order mentioned] of Mummification, Learning/thought, and the king of the land of the dead.) and foung that I had forgotten the name of the god of the Nile, who I think really could have helped me with that, and I sweated in a polo shirt in 93 degree weather with only a large yellow umbrella and a splintery stool for comfort.

But now I have four days (count 'em, four) days off in a row, and I am going to sleep in and rot my mind with stupid movies and video games (I love my playstation.

In a word, yay.

But anyway. I'll talk to you later. I have a lot to write inm this rpg forum I'm in. Grr and such. I've missed too much.

sorry the last post was only little, but i was just reading my mail an' stuff while my Other Half was watching her favourite soap opera - so I didn't have much time to create a great missive.

Anyway, I just got a reply from iria today, and happily, she's completely fine (except for a monster hangover I suspect). She's been partying non-stop for the last two weeks apparently, so that's why I hadn't heard from her for a while. So that's a relief.

Right now my missus is starting to pack her bags 'cause she's leaving to go to Holland on Friday. So I'll be having eight weeks of unaccustomed freedom from being forced to watch blooming soaps and Blind Date every night >_< Heh, the things we do to keep out other halves sweet.... Oh yeah, and I'll be going to a gathering of Northern England h2g2 people in a fortnight to go bowling and boozing etc. never met any of them before, but it might be good fun. I'm also planning on checking out the local Chinatown for munchies and odd stuff .

Anyway, hope you're having fun at the moment. Don't let all those frisky tourists get you down!

Thanks for the Sydner Bey Fanclub comment. It had me laughing, and still has me laughing, actually. *giggles* (You guys are so weird!!!) Buy anyway. Yeah, the thing about Wolf (That's his name, dear... Well his last name, his first name is Patrick. Bit "Wolf" suits him better, I can assure you,) is that we were supposed to go do something that evening, and I had been on the internet, and we only have one line, and I /knew/ he was trying to call me, because I'm all sorts of super-intuitive like that when the time comes to be, but yeah. Yes. The tourists. Why must they plauge me with their Oded Fher-ness and british accents. Oh and there was that french guy, too. And the dude from Italy, and the three Russian foregin exchange students that work in the concession stand by the Surf's Up wavepool... *sigh* But the weirdest thing is, my uniform is just a blue polo shirt with darker blue shorts. And that's all. It's weird. I don't get it.

Um, well he didn't actually read our conversation, I replied to him and mentioned it when he said in another thread that he was setting up your fan club.... Umm, that doesn't make me a weird bloke or anything, does it? After all I was about the 5th on the list already. So the multitude of your admirers is growing more numerous by the day....
Oh yes, I just noticed, slightly belatedly, that Uncle Heavy is on the list to go to the Spring Onion (the northern h2g2 meet), like myself. So there'll be at least one other Sydneyphile there. It's going to be on this Saturday! Yay! My plan is to catch an early train so i can wander around Manchester's Chinatown for a bit, before the serious business of bowling, quaffing and carousing takes place in the evening.

I hope things are going okay with you and your bloke at the mo.
It's beginning to feel a bit quiet at home now my other half is away (for the next 7 weeks). I mean after you have played on the PC for a bit and watched the box for a while (Macross Plus last night. Pretty cool) the house feels a bit empty, you know?

Still, I've got Oh! My Goddess and *ahem* Plastic Little videos on the way, so that'll be something fun to do of an evening. As well as the washing up, of course....

My other half is currently doing the last experience placement of her nursing training, in a Dutch paediatrics ward. She's really enjoying it, which is good. But it's okay, i'll be flying over to see her for the weekend in a few weeks. And of course, it's always nice to hear from the lovely Jade-chan...

So the OMG! movie is out now? Hmm, I'll have to see if any of the guys in the club will be getting it. Otherwise it'll be another one for the "to get" list. I just got the final OMG graphic novel, so my collection is complete... which makes me happy.

Anyway, keep your spirits up until your guy is back!

Oh yeah, I finally watched Tomb Raider last night, pretty good really, Chris Barrie was quite amusing, and AJ is yummy of course.... *eyes glaze over* ohhhh baby.... *drool*

I'm absolutely misserable. My two best friends (Or at least I thought they were) have turned into complete arses and are giving me no ends of crap for getting back with Wolf. They have no right, either. I mean, I'm happier than I have been in months, and he treats me all sorts of well. So if they're worried about me, they have no reason to be, and I've told them this. On more than one occasion, actually. Actually I think their problem is that they just don't like Wolf. But they don't have to like them. It's not as if /they're/ dating him or anything, you know?

But yeah. Tomb Raider was... okay. But it didn't have a plot. That bothered me a bit. Meh.

Well I'm back from the Onion now, and it was really good fun. I hobbled into bed at 3:45am this morning, so I'm still feeling a bit rough (need a nice cup of tea), but all the people were really friendly, I thought it might be a bit odd chatting with people you've never actually met in the flesh before, but it really went okay (apart from me occaisionally stopping in the middle of a conversation to go Aaargh! Ohs**tohs**tohs**t because my back had seized up again. i only had two pints though, I'm not a big drinker, you know! Unfortunately Uncle Heavy didn't come to the meet, so I can't tell you what he's like (or how afraid you should be.... ).

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your friends. At the end of the day, you have to make your own choices as far as relationships are concerned, you're an intelligent girl. Your friends can tell you what they think but you have to go with how _you_ feel. Maybe they are genuinely concerned for your welfare, but they can't run your life for you - I hope that they will eventually come around and you can be friends again.

I agree with TR not having a great plot - the inconsistency with its own plotline where the two halves of the triangle were supposed to have been taken far away from the old city, but the second one was found right back in the city - but the games themselves only have thinnish plots themselves. Basically "She runs!, she jumps!, she shoots!, she pouts!". At the end of the day it was a fun way to spend £5.

I really hope things work out okay for you hon.

The lat person I talked to about it was one of my ex-boyfriends (We're friends now,) and he agreed with Kevin and Kristen. Personally I think the only reason he agreed was/is because he doesn't like the fact that I've moved on and am dating Wolf. Apparently he still "likes me like that" or something. And he can bite me.


I'm glad /someone/ liked Tomb Raider. In the end, I think it was rather a big letdown. A lot of hype for a little polt. And not much for clothing on Angelina Jolie. Which is bad. Lots of catcals from guys. Bad, bad thing.

I hope that your friends patch things up with you sometime. Perhaps they sincerely have your best interests at heart, maybe. But at the end of the day you are your own woman, and who you go out with is your right and your responsibility alone.
