h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi. I was looking at the list of people who're logged in, an you were someone I'd never run into before. I don't have a life either. You're not alone. I'm tempted to try and start an H2G2 support group...along with the numerous other subsocieties on h2g2. ah well, too lazy. You?

I seem to have a major problem with laziness as well. Thanks for visiting my page. Where'd you get your name?

I'm not sure. Various theories include:

1. The line "Ford, you're turning into a Penguin"
2. I did a report on penguins at one point a year or two ago.
3. Penguins look funny
4. I was trying to be clever

Other people came up with these at various times.

How 'bout you?

Within the group I hang out in there are two people who liked to be called Jo--one female (me) and one male. We decided that to distinguish between the two of us we would add chromasome letters to the end of our names, x for female and y for male. So I became Jo(x) and he became Jo(y). From then on my friends phonetecized (is that a word?) my name so that my nickname is now Jox (rhymes with fox).

That's cool... my friends aren't much for nicknames, because almost all of us have semi strange names. For a wile there were two Sams and one of them became chibi-sam for a while, but it never stuck. My online SNs never have much to do with my real name, so I can be a little more creative.

How was your summer camp, leah?

Great. Gotta love a camp that lets you get online and have your own phone. Hard to believe it was over a month ago though. How's your summer been?
