Well AA... just where does one start with a character like Fairly Strange! He has a very unusual interest in telescopes for a beginning!
The trouble is that he doesn't seem to actually LOOK through them! You better ask him to elaborate! I wouldn't want to get inot any trouble!

you must elaborate on that NM ....what would make Shazz say that you did not look through them? and if you do but not often, why? does something that you see through the telescope scare you?

Time seems to be my biggest obstacle. Here in the "Sunny Southern US", finding a good night to star gaze is not easy. Haze, fog, cloud cover, etc, tends to cut down on the number of good viewing nights.

Then, one must find a night when one has time, isn't tired(this is work, you know!), the city lights are at a minimum, and no moon. It is quite a trick to get them all together at one time!

The bad thing is.....the best nights are in mid-winter.....you know, those 30 degree nights! One can't stay out in that for long!.....Especially as one gets older!

Oh...and I've never seen anything THROUGH a telescope that scared me, Shazz!!!

It was our dear Auntie that suggested you maybe scared by something out there NM! I know perfectly well that a man equipped with such a large telescope couldn't possibly be scared of anything... except perhaps the aforesaid object getting too cold and cracking?? ROFL!
