Waht really interested me in your Harringay entry, was the information about the developer JC Hill. Where did you come across this info? >> Like a great deal of this part of North London, they were built by JC Hill5. The houses are smaller than those on the Ladder, and have always been cheaper as a result.<< On the net??

>>the 'Harringay Gardens', were built from the late 1890s on the land previously occupied by St John's Lodge Farm. << I presume this land belonged to the church, St John of Jerusalem until developed?? Do you know where they were?? I found a copy of an earlier map here:- http://www.geocities.com/summerhillroad2002/map_tottenham_1619.htm The Gardens area can be clearly seen on this map (top right Corner).

I wasn´t quite finished, when I pressed the "send" button. I just wanted to mention that Black Boy Lane can also be clearly seen on the map

I got part of that bit out of an old article posted up on the wall of The Salisbury, and more of it out of a history of the area I found in Wood Green Library... I reckon if you write to the Hornsey Historical Society they might be able to tell you more or put you in touch with someone. I think the book was published by them.
