It's just struck me as ironic that you are a prof on h2g2, and a while back I became a lifeguard, when in real life you became a lifeguard a while back and I'm hoping to become an academic. Funny that...

Gollum?
We could always put gin in your tank. As in the one you swim in, not the one your fish swim in, I promised I wouldn't put gin in there. You want another? I'll line a few up...

A very thirsty ghost? Interesting... Try looking out for a largeish lifeguard with a very long straw? I'd like to see the management having kittens... What have they called them?
I'm good thanks, glad to hear you're doing okay. Life is surreal as per, but that's true for any given value of life... Auditioned for a play today, and got a call back! This time in a few weeks I could be fluffing my lines in front of an audience! Nothing major has happened since I last updated you, maths is still hard, physics making it bearable, still dressing up at every oppurtunity (Going as a nun for haloween!) Oh, went to a careers fair yesterday, pretended to be interested in various jobs and got some free stuff, including an MI5 mug! Oh, and a clock that looks like an eyeball... Silly.
Good luck with the water and cleaning - rather you than me! A giant sponge prehaps? Now I am getting silly...

It's getting silly at work to were now cleaning things and thers a small but significant chance that Im out of a job and the reef could be knocked down and re built as on fri they still haddent found the fault but they have found:
3 pipes that arnt on the plans,
2 8" pipes that go outside the building round a bit and back in,
1 jammed valve,
a compressor leak
and theve beeen pouring water in to the flum towere pipe work an it's disapering... and not going out the way the leking water was
oh dear oh dear
whats the play called?

What the??? It's a swimming pool, how can it acheive all these properties? Have you discovered the worlds first quantum swimming pool? Well, I really hope you aren't out of a job/are out of a job and get a better one soon, but until then, good luck with the cleaning!
The play is called 'The Doctor'. It's one of five student written sketches being performed in a few weeks time. There are two characters, a doctor and a patient, and I'm not playing the title role. The script if quite funny.
Good luck with the reef situation. How's Gemma, must remember to drop her a line...

Ok all fixed now it turened out there were two craked supply lines to the flumes one was leaking in to the serface water system which was where we knew water was going the othere was leaking into the moat round the back of the building. Gemmas good she was back south of the border last week doing the london gallerys. only two actors and YOU'VE been called back.... I'm impressed!
