Oh dear... any particular reason, or is it just the empty feeling of the place?

I know that feeling. You just have to try and ignore it... it's very difficult though, huh?
Aww, the canaries are going to sleep...

Britain - but these aren't wild, they belong to my sister. However, she's painting her room, so the canaries have been moved out of her room and into this one, and they're next to me.

Hence the horrible lonely feeling. It's the same here, really, though now with the amount of rodents in the house (all supposed to be here - most of them belong to my mum) it never really feels empty any more. Which is probably a good thing. Perhaps that's a good idea? Get loads of rodents?
Actually, don't, they're a lot of work to feed and clean out...
Still, as they belong to mum, mum has to do it all.

Oh, sorry. Rodents are small furry animals with sharp teeth - mice, hamsters, rabbits, rats, gerbils, and guinea pigs are all rodents. I hope that helps! If not, then I will have to start thinking hard to try and explain it...
