SoRB Convergence Phenomenon
Jordan Started conversation Jun 5, 2007
I almost never post on this site any more; in fact, I seldom think about it. But I'm glad I did, because it made me realise something. Once, when I was younger, I thought that you were too confrontational, too direct, too patronising when someone missed your point. So imagine my surprise when I realised the awful truth...
The more I argue with people online, the more I start to sound like you.
And thus, the SoRB Convergence Phenomenon: the more an individual argues with idiots on the internet, the closer they come to emulating, to the best of their abilities, SoRB.
Creepy.

Definitely; some asymptotes are more equal than others. But no one warned me six years ago that not being a moron was so damned frustrating.

Actually, thanks go to Insight, who emailed it to me back in January! I just remembered it of a sudden and I *knew* that you had to see it.
Steve the Programmer really has excelled himself this time!

Yeah, that's quite convincing 3D modelling and voice synthesis, huh?

Oooh, a Ben siting
I've just found myself posting, in a thread about chilling out at all the currrent stupidity in debate threads, that I understand Hoo now. I find myself being more rude and caring less how rude I am. I think this is about length of time spent in the community, but I also wonder if Hoo's absence means that some of us have to step into the rudeness void Wouldn't have thought it would be me though as I'm not very good at it
Anyone care to explain why Hoo's away? I missed all that.

Well I call him Cutie. And that's the best clue you're gonna get. Of course I may be completely barking up the wrong tree. Not for the first time.
The really funny thing was that shortly after Cutie first appeared on the TGD thread, it caused a great big hoo ha and cafuffle; thanks to Vicky. Gif made a minor error in assigning one of Cutie's posts to az. Vicky then jumps to the ridiculous conclusion that Gif is cryptically saying that Cutie's really a sockpuppet of az. Next thing you know all hell break's loose on Cuties's space. It was eventually sorted out.
As I say I might well be completely barking up the wrong tree....

Having long been a SoRB Convergence Phenomenon Denier, I would just like to publically hold my hand up and say that I think I am now about half way down that path.
