Well, its about 13DegC in my office at the moment.
Not wanting to cause anyone to get yiksed but is anyone hotter?

That sounds rather chilly. It's still quite warm here in Seville in the afternoons (up to mid-20's), but nighttime temps (and my flat temp) tend to be the same thing, about 12º.
Oooh, couldn't work properly in an office that was 13º. How are you coping?

Oh, sorry, thought this was your journal, Alfster.

Oh, now I feel really stupid.
I think they are kinda 'laying down the law' a bit harshly, but I tried to put forth other means of dealing with unpleasant posters there . . . no reply yet.
I remember being told once (well, me and others) that if I continued to pester Della then it would be either pre-mod or suspension . . . like WTF?
So yeah, okay, someone purposely annoys you in the extreme without specifically breaking the house rules and then when you respond to them it is somehow *you* who is in the wrong? Never actually understood that one.

They do not require you to understand. They merely require you to obey.
It will certainly quieten debate down in future, if **every** *single* time I see something which, under normal circumstances, I would simply pen an acidic reply to, I click the "yikes" button instead, THEN respond to the email to make sure the Eds take a look at it.
Since they've specifically said that they should be spending more of their time on the Edited Guide and not messing around with this tedious "community" rubbish, I can't see how their latest edict is supposed to help. I can only see it creating more work for them, but hey, they're in charge, I'm sure they know exactly what they're doing...

You really do have a problem with authority don't you SoRB?
I bet you can't wait for a chance to Yikes a post and inundate the editors with your wonderful prose.
(Is there a roll the eyes smiley?)
Alex.

Hand quivers over yikes button: someone accusing someone else of having a certain personality trait - could escalate into a full scale discussion here.

Let me know when it gets warm enough to break out the weenies and marshmallows, ok y'all? Maybe I'll even bring along some f**kin' fireworks to add to the festivities.

Ah....ideas
Excellent. Thanks guys.....but he's gone to bed now.
I suppose after building the kids' new bunk beds, laying a carpet in their room etc. (at the weekend) He's knackered. At least I managed to persuade him that repainting it would add to the hard work.
It was great tonight, playing up there with them. Unfortunately my daughter keeps getting very upset about not having the top bunk but we've made a deal that when she's 5 she can be on the top.
Hoe are you guys?
Alex.

I am in the whirlwind of pur-chasing a house.
The offer is in. The mortgage is nearly sorted. The solicitor has been appointed.
Hopefully, I will be in end of Jan start of Feb next year. Gulp.
First house I have bought - a late developer. I need to start budgetting a bit better now having lived the bachelor lifestyle for so long.
Having always paid all bill and insurance etc straight off I need to start monthly direct debiting which I have hardly done at all.
Nearly all grown up: I will be turning grey and loosing my hair soon.

*I* think you ought to take undignified photos of SoRB while he's snoozing like a baby, alex. Could be fodder for some very wicked photoshopping.
Alfster, nothig wrong with a bald head. I find 'em very sexy if they're well-shaped. Good luck with the purchase!
I've been messing with making a pic this afternoon, the aftermath of six7's apostate pic. It's here http://public.fotki.com/BrittaMoG/photoshopping_under/after_the_debauch.html and if anyone else wants to be in it there are a few unaltered heads left for the cropping block.

Mmm, I'll think about it. Problem is, the only camera we've got at the moment is hi.
I'll figure out a way.
Anyway, my turn to snooze tonight. Teaching all day, no free periods, training staff after school and then Open evening for parents tonight. And.....applied for a Deputy Headship on Monday.

Oh stop! You're making me just hearing about it.
Congrats on the new house, Alfster!
MoG, he said to shave SoRB's eyebrows, which is a rather weird sort of bald, I reckon.
