Your writing has always been top notch, it was your own confidence in it that was the struggle. This should have put that demon to rest once and for all
It should open up some opportunities as well, perhaps a compelation of short stories or such. Whatever comes I know it'll be a success.

Hi,
I'm toying with the idea of a novel, I've written a few bits - but I'm not sure about it yet.
We've had some really hot weather here over the last week. I've been working in the garden, and generally having a good sort out. Clearing away the clutter. It seems good for the soul......
Hope everything is well with you

Howdy howdy partner,
Sorry, I've been recovering from the rigors of the road after attending the 'H2G2 Hillbilly Meet' down in Missouri. A grueling 12 hours each way on the bike, I now realize that I'm not as young as I once was. It was fun though and I was able to meet a few new folks in the process as well as put faces to some old ones.
A novel sounds just the ticket I think, you've the style and flair to pull it off quite nicely. Just don't proofread yourself into writer's block, go with the flow and leave the polishing for after it's done. I think getting bogged down in the details may be the greatest pitfall in writing, leaving many a fine work half finished and collecting dust rather than accolades from critics and fans. Just remember, I have faith in you and your talent.
I've got to get out to the garden myself. Nothing like hot and dry to breed weeds and my beds are starting to rival a third world country for overpopulation. Of course the temps are at there highest of the year and my arms are completly covered in new skin as a result of some serious sunburn so I'm in no great hurry. Still, no rest for the wicked and I must pay my penance so off I go. I'll chat later if I survive

Hi!
I had no idea that you were attending the meet. A long drive - but sounds like you enjoyed your visit. I know they have the meets over here too - but I've never attended - mainly cos I don't know anyone.
We are having a bit of a heat wave at the moment. I still have a bit to do in the garden - but it's just too hot at the moment. I've started some decorating - (on the spur of the moment) hopefully I'll have it finished soon. I really have been a busy bee of late, one way, or another!
Anything good going on around the site?

Hey you!
I just saw your photograph - at the meet. Great photo.
I don't know if you've ever seen what I look like in the flesh????

Hello,
I've really no idea what's going on at the moment round here having just returned. I'm going slow and feeling things out at the moment, checking the lay of the land so as not to step on any toes.
I can tell you that the AWW is slow, not a lot there to grab the attention of this particular miner. No commenting till I'm well and truely comfortable, besides, there seems to be an overabundance of poetry and that is something I'm just not very good with.
Not suprising about the heat wave as we're in the midst of one ourselves, complete with withering draught. It's too hot to think properly, much safer indoors. More time to get caught up here

Sadly I haven't seen you in the flesh (nor a picture either) Other than knowing you're blond and have a flair with the written word you remain a mystery. Care to rectify that situation?
As to my own picture, well, those are the only ones I've allowed in almost ten years and had no idea they'd be put up here. I steered well clear of cameras while in the military and it sort of stuck after I was out.

Going slow seems like a good idea. I'll have to write something for the site again - but I don't know when.....

A couple of your old ones are getting bumped up near the end of the month, or so was my thought this last weekend while reading a couple. I think there will be a bit more activity about then so the timing should be perfect for some new feedback.

Are they? Oh my goodness - none of them are much good. I could probably improve upon them though.

September is only 44 days away, too long to hold my breath without looking like I'd swipped a stick of chewing gum from Wlly Wonka's factory but soon enough to start drooling profusley
Anticipation does heighten the satisfaction don't you think?

haha - sometimes it does.
I sent my pic! Not much of a mystery now....

They're fine as they stand in my opinion and I feel you'd be hard pressed to make them better. Different perhaps, but that's simply change for the sake of change. Instead, put the energy and creativity towards your latest venture, novels don't write themselves you know.

Haven't focused on that as much as I'd like. Real life keeps getting in the way.....
I am thinking about it though

Thanks! Well I don't frighten small children. Scared a few older ones on my time, lol.
Wow - it's gone midnight. It's my birthday today!

Real life, it does get in the way sometimes. As long as you keep the thought in the back of your mind, bits and pieces will fall together one at a time...or so I imagine. Power of positive thinking and all that.
