I don't care about horses either

You can call me TC

Am still reeling from the news that there is another hootooer in Newmarket. Not that I'm in Newmarket, I live in Germany, but I'm there often enough visiting my mother, and I lived there for years and have even often thought of doing an entry on it! Perhaps the lack of enthusiasm for things equine has prevented me so far.

From your journal, I see you moved there in 2011. If you're near the racecourse, you must be sort of Hamilton Road area? No - don't answer that!

Have added you to my "friends" - hope that's OK. Although I have been seeing you around since before Rupert.... I remember once there was a very long story-telling thread where I particularly enjoyed your contributions.

Hiya TC! smiley - smiley

I live on the high street close to the T junction that takes you down to Tattersalls and the train station.

When next you come back - give us a shout - we'll have ourselves an "I don't care about horses" mini-meet up! smiley - biggrin

The 'very long' story telling was probably H2G2 Storytime.

I archived those and edited them into something like coherent chapters me and a few friends continued to collaborate on that and it generated two sequels!

They can all be found here:

Storytime 2

(MY favourite story-wise, slow to start but it picks up when we get our protagonist)

Storytime 3 (Unfinished)

Our tribute to Indianna Jones (we named our archeologist "Ohio") I reckon I did some of my best writing in this. especially chapter 35, which I wrote to get us out of a bind where some helpful soul had written our heroes into where they are trapped in a desert with no resources pinned down by a very accurate sniper watched by a single vulture. Deus ex Machina emergecy plot edits don't get much more blatant than this!

so if you have a spare fortnight and fancy a chuckle at the most absurd round robin story ever conceived - you'll be hard pressed to find one better!

I am in the area on 11-14 Oct, mainly for a family gathering, so am not sure if I'll have a spare hour. And, of course, I won't want to keep you from your pumpkin-sculpturing.

Maybe Friday after you get in from work?

This is getting weird - I may also be meeting Pink Paisley that weekend - just because he's there! (He's in Frankfurt for a day or two)

The time has come and gone and it was, as I feared, rather short and full of family meetings. I shall be back in November, though - although not sure again as to how available I'll be.
