No, no, no, I'm far too polite to delete someone, even if they appear to be YELLING at me. Aside from that, a (probably) silly question: having encountered the term "uni" several dozen times around H2G2, I query, what is a/an uni?

University probably.

I'm on my second so far. having completed my undergarduate reading philosophy at Hull, where to my utter surprise I graduateed top of my class with a 1:1.

I am now at Warwick University about two-thirds of y way through my Masters course, also in philosophy - with an eye to doing a doctorate and gaining a Phd qualificatrion, just as soon as I can think of a thesis.

How are you finding h2g2 so far?

I rather enjoying h2g2. Haven't really found a niche yet so I kinda look to see what forums are currently engaged/active. Pretty much all under the "Ask h2g2" as I have yet to find a means of determing what OTHER forum groupings are out there. I did find the THINGite lines mostly be lurking about the info pages of other folks and seeing where they were going. In all, a good way to pass some idle time.

I gather your nearly a professional studier to some measure? The best I managed was an equivalency diploma for secondary school. Did that one drunken afternoon about 5 years into the Cdn Forces. Never had option or resources to consider "higher" learning. Lots of respect for those that do and actually accomplish something from it vice the "hide from the real world" mode of a number of folks I've known.

Anywho, being home again, got domestic things to attend to before the good half gets home from her daily endeavour. And, of course, two cats that need to be reminded that we have NOT forgotten them. Have a fine day/evening/night, whatever it is in your time zone.
