well you found me. 
H2G2 *is* huge hang round my space for now if you like - I can give you the guided tour (tonight after I get back from the chippies)
Two of the interesting thigs that newbies (a term w Veterans 
use for new users) are these:
<./>Smileys</.> - all of the emoticons that exits on h2g2 (there are quit a few) and the codes that generate them in forums like this one 
<./>askh2g2</.> - a really popular page, ask h2g2 is where a lot of the h2g2 community hang out and just ask general random questions or get others to participate (I'm there at the moment taking part in a conversation about monty python quotes.)
