Hi,
Never thought I'd envy anyone called Charlie.
Heigh ho, wrong again.
Hope you will both continue to be happy. (Or, Break a leg, as the case may be.)

Erm ...
SCA?
I've led a very sheltered life.
It was intended as a gasp of pleasant surprise at the splendour, and pulchritude. Not necessarily in that order, but I don't wish to tangle with any tall Charlies.
Haven't time to follow your liks to discover the truth now, but I shall certainly make time.
Pip, pip.

Heh. It was for a show, not the SCA. I was just messing around.
Pulchritude, eh? Now if I was anybody else, I'd probably think that was an insult...
*looking in on-line dictionary* Lessee, pulchritude, pulchritude...
Awww. That's so sweet...
ps: Charlie is a teddy bear. Besides, you're on the other end of a phone line. You're quite safe.

Thanks for the reassurance about Charlie, I feel much safer.
I still don't know about SCA. I worked out that (sadly) your dress was probably not regular attire but - not appreciating your whereabouts - wondered whether it was the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) hence the "working clothes".
You'd better tell me about SCA so I'll know when to use it appropriately, or avoid it altogether.
Happy New Year, in due course; or as you say Happy New Years (or is that just in the films?).

The SCA is the Society for Creative Anacronisms, which is dedicated to re-creating (or in some cases, acting out) the Middle Ages or the distant future, like Star Trek. It's good, clean fun, with plenty of drinking and horseback riding and mock sword fighting.
The outfit was for a production of Sleeping Beauty. I was Sleeping Beauty's mom. Loads of fun.
