Grrrr... Hell God, I was just wondering why you made my life so sad? I understand if you haven't got the time to answer this question, you must be very busy with others of far more importance, but I was just wondering.

Yes, It all comes down to the original design of the Universe. When I was composing my magnus opus, I had originally intended to work along the lines of everyone basically getting everything that they wanted, most of the time. Unfortunately, talking to some other immortals, they said that it always meant pure boredom eventually, either the sky was just the wrong shade of pink, the sumputous buffet didn't quite match the last weeks identical one, or that one stunning model after another became wearisome company.
It is generally thought a bit of misery, was the best tonic for too much fun. In much the same way as the obscenely rich will pay large sums of money to go to spartan fat-farms, to live an asetic lifestyle, usually 'hoarded' by the less well off in society.
Just ask the wiser monks, whether they would live the highlife of the jetset or the self-denying monastic life, they know their on to a good thing...
So the general line is, if your life is routinely a misery, you are on to a good thing, and any joy to come your way will be so much more nourishing & sweeter...
Mind you, I've personally had my doubts about that...

P.S. I think your just jealous of the supreme misery the Russian Black Bears are on to, some beings would just love the privledge of being chained and made to dance on the pain of death.

Grrr, so you are saying you did it because you thought it would be a good idea, and make life less boring???

Essentially, Yes.
In a 'I wonder what today will bring, a rich hurly-burly, of by chance, winning a lottery, and ergo, have the chance to live out most of your most salubrious (or sordid) desires; or being run over by a double-decker bus...
So enjoy the rich tapestry of life, even if your colourblind to some of the more pleasing shades.

I have never been run over by a double decker bus, but the dog across the road once wee'd on me. Does that count???
I would enjoy life if I could, but I can't. It's terrible I know, but it's just the way I am. I hope you don't hate me for it, It's not my fault, I didn't make myself you know!!!

Alright, I'm sorry. It's all been a folly of mine...
You see most people are a little distanced from the events in the Bible, from why Noah decided to build an Ark without an outboard motor, to Joseph putting up with Mary's explanation of an 'emaculate conception' of Jesus (Although, he long suspected swanky, devil may care Judas Escariot. Who always had a few silver pieces flying about).
One such story that has lost it's relevance is the story of Job, whose job it was to prove a shining example to mankind (alright, womenkind; then all bases are covered) of the value of perserverance and of stoicness of womenkind ?!?
That is where you step in, over the course of your life, you have been deemed worthy of the honour of bearing the heroic mantle of greatness of misfortune, for the sake of 'womenkind' everywhere...
So the next time you wonder what it's about, count yourself lucky that you are one of the chosen, rather than just... sad.
